I think it means that the Drs. of Seattle Grace are going to be working on the case of a born again Christian who illuminates the problems in their own lives through her relationship with god. Seriously. Sounds like the kind of crap storyline GA is known for but still manages to get me to watch.
Actually – I think that would make an excellent episode. But it will never happen on Grey’s or anyother primetime show – unless of course they determined the patient had a brain tumor and that is where her relationship with God came from. Now THAT would be a crappy storyline and Shonda already did it on Private Practice.

Remember there was a shooter and people got shot and some died. This an episode about the aftermath of a tragic event. How each cope with either the lose of a loved one or like in Lexie or Meredith’s case almost lost the person they love. Lexie has feelings for Alex but they do not compete with her true deep down feelings for McSteamy. Alex will always love Izzie and has not gotten over her as much as he makes out to be. And for the ones who have the God Complex about this episode please stop and quit being stupid.
I think it’s a typo. The title should read “With You, I’m Bourne Again” and it means Matt Damon checks into Seattle Grace.
You know, all the Grey’s episode titles are taken from song titles. This song was a top ten duet for Billy Preston & Syreeta in 1980.

What’s the difference? It’s not life. If they feel they are married and act accordingly why do you need them to be legal? Why don;t you guys just be happy that they are together and relatively drama free instead of obsessing over some stupid detail that affects the show in no way.

@ Kylie… it’s important to make it legal for, well, legal reasons. People on this show tend to end up in mortal peril pretty often. They need to be able to make medical decisions for each other.
yeah, i don’t care about seeing them have a wedding — just knowing that it’s not legal is what bugs me. as brody said, people on this show end up in mortal peril and your partner should have the legal right to make decisions and look out for you. that’s the only reason it bugs me. they’re doctors, they know this!
I don’t care if they get married or not…I just hate how they call each other husband and wife. If marriage is not a priority to you the fine…but obviously it is if they’re using the titles. Shonda wants them to play the role of husband and wife without having to make the huge commitment.
also@ kylie: stupid detail? not so; legal is legal and without that piece of paper they are no more married than me and my dog. NO ONE is asking for a on-screen, full-blown church wedding (as Shonda somehow thinks; don’t know why)…ALL fans are asking is to make the marriage REAL by making it a LEGAL union….something everyone wanting to be married should be able to have, yes?
Well, because with “legal” they can make decisions for each other in emergency situations like last season’s finale. Without actual legal documents, Mer wouldn’t have been able to give the ok for certain things if major complications arose when Derek was in surgery–or he for her if her miscarriage had major complications. I think maybe that whole emergency situation might make them realize that.
I wish they would acknowledge they’re legally married simply to get people to shut up about it. Seriously, Shonda, help a girl out.
I used to not care if people were just committed to each other instead of married, but I’ve seen that medical issue (next of kin counts, not “common law”) far too many times to see any sense in the “committed, no need for a piece of paper”-type relationship.
The legal and medical reasons don’t matter. First of all, Grey’s is known for its drama and the easiest way to create that would be for one of them to fall into that frequent peril without the legal attachments (aka – the finale). No legal marriage is leaving the storyline open, which is always better in a drama. More importantly, I just don’t see a big wedding as a part of Meredith’s character; to write in a wedding would just be a sell out, breaking her characterization to pacify romantics. Why does the legal bit matter anyway? Love supercedes the law and marital titles are just words – they’re together and that’s all that should matter.
i think the reason that we want it legal is because it would be harder to break up if they have a fight.

The document is a written contract and while they have not been traditionally “Married” they have entered into a legally binding contract. And what is marriage but a contract. The vows are the terms and the “I Do” is the agreement. After that you are bound to the terms of the marriage and when one person violates a term that is grounds for termination of the contract. Thus, the terms Mer and Der wrote are legally binding and they are “legally” married.
Shonda has made it clear that she has no intention of a formal wedding. Give it up.
what i actually think it means is that because in the final episode of season 6 meredith had a miscarriage then the next episode will be about her recovering from that and derek actually finding out.

That’s true…. I didn’t liked Lexie at the beginning, but I think she is the best match for Mark and I don’t want them to break up finally. They belong together. To be honest, I don’t want to see this stupid break ups the whole time. I don’t want to see that everyone is having a relationship with everybody. That sucks… Let the “old” characters their “old” lovers and bring some new for Teddy, April or Jackson….

i love McSteamy and little grey but she is gonna be all about alex since he got shot and it is going to take awhile for her to leave him after everything he has been through, i just hope in the end they are together and we don’t hear about “little sloan” ever again

Wishful thinking: I hope it means that the show is going to take the focus off the annoying peripheral characters and be “re-born” by re-focusing on the core members of the cast.
But since we know that a bunch of newcomers have signed contracts, that’s not looking too likely.
I don’t mind the new characters. I mind when I feel like they are forcing the show to not focus on Meredith, Derek and Christina because they only have a few more years in their contracts.
That’s a very good point. When the storyline is good, I don’t mind.
But I do mind when you literally have barely seen a character for weeks at a time, and when they finally do pop up, it’s only for a few seconds or their storyline is trivial.
But, I do think there’s some bloat in the cast. I think Teddy and April are excessive. Dr. Pretty Eyes can stay.

I think that’s ONE of the reasons we don’t have George anymore….before he died he had no story lines at all. Agreed…Dr. Pretty Eyes can stay and be on camera as much as needed!!!
that whole season before George left, T.R knight had been given less and less lines/parts so no one would really focus on his departure.

I’m sorry but I have to disagree with you there. I honestly don’t really like most of the “core characters”. I love Mark, Lexie, Callie, and Arizona. I don’t mind some of the core characters like Christina and Alex but I wouldn’t want the show to be focused on them.
I actually consider Mark, Lexie, Callie and Arizona to be core characters now. I was referring mainly to the Mercy Westers + Teddy.
I sometimes hope, that Grey’s will end because it kind of survived itself now. It used to be much better… They should make a nice ending and that’s it. In my opinion, that’s more tolerable than this stupid thing now. I mean that everybody is having a relationship or sex with everyone…. For example, look at Lexie: George, Mark, Alex … and therby she is only a regular for two seasons now.

I do think they need to lighten up the Cristina and Owen relationship, though. I was very invested in it during season 5, but the writers keep making their relationship all doom and gloom. There are hardly any moments of levity, so it makes you wonder why they’re together. And they really need to can the Teddy storyline.
I totally agree, I love Owen and Cristina but am fed up with all the gloom and doom and triangle garbage. I want to see them enjoy each other and face the challenges of every day life and balancing their career and their love. NOW that would be worth watching again. If they go down the same road as last year, I will give up on GA.
I know that Meredith’s last name is Grey, but I think was meant more as a parody than anything else.
The most famous textbook about anatomy and the human body is “Gray’s Anatomy”. I think the title of the show focused more on that aspect than it did on the title character’s name.
I was just going to say that G, so glad you brought it up. Meredith may be the lead cahracter (god knows why) but the show’s title was more of a parody then saying “this is the Meredith show, she gets all the screentime” it’s always been an ensemble cast. Any show set in a place of work should have steady new character cause that’s the way life works.
I think of it as using Lexie’s name instead of Meredith…I like Lexie more than her….

The title is probably related to the game-changer events of the finale. Everyone is supposed to have come out of that experience a different person hence the being “born again”.

I hope to see a lot of memorable great scenes Cristina&Owen in Season 7. Wanna see them more grounded as a couple and working together to achieve happiness in their relationship. PLEASE don’t repeat mistakes from season 6.
Also, I hope Teddy continues being a great mentor to Cristina and a good friend (no other feelings) to Owen. I like Kim Raver so I’m hoping Teddy will un-attach herself from the triangle and move on.
And although it may be a bit weird to see Jackson and April together, I’d like to see them together ;P
