First up, model-turned-scream queen Arielle Kebbel (a.k.a. Dean’s rebound girl Lindsay Lister on Gilmore Girls) has been cast as Paige, the new hottie in town who may well wind up tending more than bar for Baze (Kristoffer Polaha).
Next in line, Amy Price-Francis (24, The Cleaner) has landed the role of Kelly, a conservative author/chatterbox who becomes a partner on the radio show that Cate (Shiri Appleby) and Ryan (Kerr Smith) front.
Both roles are recurring.
In other Unexpected casting news, Fancast reports that ex-Melrose Place resident Shaun Sipos has been tapped to play David, the hot new teacher at Westmonte High and a potential crush interest for Lux (Brittany Robertson).
Your thoughts? Oh, don’t pretend like you don’t have any. Let ‘er rip below.
If they go the student/teacher affair route I am done….they’re better than that.

seriously, isn’t Pretty Little Liars doinf that right now? Why does every teen show do this? It’s not like student/teacher affairs are THAT common.
I get so tried of people threatening to leave tv shows, and won’t even let a story line play out. Heck there are plenty of story lines I haven’t cared for on other shows, but I at least gave them a chance first and didn’t whine about not watching the show any longer.
Oh, be quiet. If it wasn’t so commonplace, it wouldn’t be an issue. Girls everywhere have crushes on hot teachers in high school. Get over yourselves and stop trying to dictate how producers run their shows. Sheesh. Got a life? I, for one, would be very interested in seeing Lux develop feelings for a young teacher…and see how it plays out. Without scandal, these shows are dead meat. It’s time the writers realize that.

I’d prefer for Lux to make some friends that are her peers. It’s sad that her only friends at school are Math and the QB.
First, no one SAID they were going to stop watching if it happened, so get off your high horse.
And secondly, it’s NOT so common place–you wanna know why? Because having a HOT MALE HIGH SCHOOL TEACHER is NOT commonplace.
I would disappointed if they went that route too–it’s way over played on TV these days and Lux IS better than that. However, Aria and Ezra on Pretty Little Liars make a DANG cute couple–even if he is her teacher.

Every single time I see the words Gilmore Girls grad, I keep hoping to click the link and it will be something about Liza Weil. She was one of the greatest cast additions on the show and she’s a phenomenal actress. When is someone going to cast her on a show?

Liza Weil was on a few episodes of Anyone But Me. It’s a webseries. I think it’s great that Arielle Kebbel will be on Life Unexpected. I felt sorry for her on GG.
lol! idk if she exactly counts as a Gilmore Girls Grad. =) She was Lindsay for Pete’s sake, everyone HATED Lindsay.
Just cause she wasn’t a fan favourite character doesn’t mean she doesn’t count. It doesn’t say “the much loved Gilmore Girls actress” it says she was on it and she was so it fits.
I didn’t hate Lindsay. I felt sorry for her. As much as I loved Rory, she left Dean. She had no right to sleep with him when he was married to someone else.
Agreed. She was just a little spoiled (expecting Dean to work when she doesn’t and then complaining he doesn’t spend enough time with her), but she really did love Dean. No one deserves to be cheated on by their significant other/spouse, no matter what they’ve done. Rory only wanted him because she couldn’t have him. She may have had him first, but she also threw him away. (And this is coming from someone who was never a Rory/Dean fan.)
I didn’t hate Lindsay. I hated Rory. Or Whorey as she was called in my house, when she broke up a marriage and claimed “He is my Dean!”
I didn’t hate Lindsay – it did take me a few minutes to remember who she was though. We’re talking maybe 5 episodes over three seasons, the last of which aired about five years ago.

YES to Shaun Sipos!! I think I was the only person that watched Melrose Place and I loved him.
No I loved him too. I always hoped him/Katie would get it on, on the show but w/e. The CW kept Katie an Shaun on their network so atleast they can recognize great talent, even if they can’t always recognize a good script. Does his character have to be named David though?

yay for Shaun Sipos! I thought he and Katie Cassidy were the 2 best things about an otherwise abysmal show. She’s gonna fit right in on GG and I’m glad to see him getting another gig.

Great news! Can’t wait for this to come back in September. Hopefully it’s for a full season pick-up.
I have never watched this show but maybe I will check it out sometime…I may be in the minority but I enjoyed Melrose Place and its good to see cast members moving on to other things…My only wish is that Katie Cassidy would be brought on to a new show….She’d make a great addition to Desperate Housewives, perhaps fill the void left by the departure of Nicolette Sheridan!

I don’t know Arielle Kebbel seems a little too young to play Baze’s love interest in my opinion. She looks like she could be his daughter.
She is 25 in real life and Kristoffer (Baze) is 33 so its not that young.

She’s busy filming Being Erica right now. So if Life Unexpected gets a full season she will be returning mid-season.
