I knew Captain Phil personally. My Mom was married to him (they divorced in 2006) I never knew my real father, Phil was the BEST Step Dad I could of asked for. We had some rough years (my teenage years} but I want all to know That what you see is what you get. He was as real as they come. He died the day after my Birthday, And I still cant stop the tears. I think that America needs to go through the mourning process and on film they knew him and to see him go I’m sure helps in some way, with closure. I miss him so terribly much.

I would like to see one of the Hilstrands or possibly even Edgar take the Cornila Marie out and work with Jake to make him the next Capt.

It’s really so sad that the season’s finale wasn,t really dedicated to Phil Harris like I was expected it to be, nor the episode before it. Really…something was missing from that last episode…I felt let down….like I was suppose to learn something or see something from Phil Harris’s finale days of life on this last episode…

Deadliest Catch is very good. I also watch Ice Road Truckers and River Monsters, which are also very good. I guess I do like reality shows. I do not watch American Idol, Survivor, etc.; these are not my type of reality shows. Captain Phil and Jonathan Hillstrand both remind me of pirates; they had the look. So long Captain Phil.

Who was the guy in the hospital room with Phil the entire time? Is he an owner or just a friend?
