  • High Again

Excited for many of these but most looking forward to the return of Community. No other comedy ended it’s season as strong as they did.

    • Dave

      unless it was called P&R

      • B-

        Or Modern Family

      • filmex

Sorry, but P&R wouldn’t be on the schedule if it wasn’t for Amy Poehler. Oh wait, it’s not on the schedule. Thursday Night comedy block just got that much stronger.

      • Luke Pohjala

P&R is on the schedule. it starts later in the season. and dont you ever try to say its not a good show. P&R is hilarious

    • HELLO

      I love younger men.
I have dated only men at least 10 years younger and as much as 17 years younger than me for many years.
I love the energy and a nice tight bod. Older men just aren’t the same, different mentality.llkh.
I seem to have more in common with younger guys. They’re actually more fun and are usually more interested in me.
I’m flattered. I think younger men like cougars because they have no agenda,
don’t usually want to get married and are usually very independent and don’t need a man to take care of them.
I meet younger men on this website:10Yeargap.com

MOMMMMM!!! Stop it! Dad said he’d try harder…

    • Elizabeth

I agree completely! It’s my favorite show!

  • Rob

HATE that we have to wait till mid-season for Parks! Wait to support your shows NBC!

    • downtown diva

Yeah, I’m disappointed about having to wait till midseason for Parks and Rec’s return, too. But I’m looking forward to Outsourced and The Event in the meantime.

  • Lori

Uh oh Mariska Hargitay will be griping about their ratings again since they are being moved to 9:00. She blamed Leno before, wonder who she will blame now?

    • T

Maybe because SVU at 9 pm makes *no* sense?! I’m a big fan of the show, but I hated it last season when they moved it to 9. It is a 10 pm show if I’ve ever seen one. So I’ll gripe along with Mariska then – NBC has a history of treating their long-standing shows like crap.

      • Charged Fan

Agreed, this should be a 10 pm show. I love it and will watch it whenever, but not only is it personally easier to catch at 10, the content of it is most definitely 10 pm drama material! I blame NBC for their bonehead idea with Jay as well–but they should have moved this back to its original Tuesday at 10 p.m. slot once they realized they screwed up on Leno and cancelled/moved that show.

      • Angie

Maybe Mariska and you T should blmae NBC for the move they did it NOT Jay Leno!! Oh right, NBC pays her millions of dollars. Would not want to bite the hand that feeds you. Anyway Criminal Minds is on CBS at that same time spot and does great. Story lines are way more intense that SVU. What about that????

      • Jethro

NBC is foolish to put to L&Os back to back on the same night. Parenthood should be moved to Wednesdays at 9 pm and put SVU back on Tuesdays at 10 pm where it belongs.

Why does NBC continue to run BL for 2 hours where another show could have been added? They have been doing it for several years and who can watch a show consistently for 2 straight hours?

      • Roosey

@Jethro TBL does very respectable numbers. even when against Idol.

    • Jak

Certainly not the crappy writing or lack-luster plots. What would that have to do with it?

    • Yes

Leno was the reason it was moved last year which we all know was a bonehead move on the part of NBC – I think that was her real point, not Leno in particular. It still is a bad move to have it on at 9 and stupid to have both on the same night. Spread it out people! NBC is run by a bunch of idiots.

      • TH

Or becasue SVU is on its last legs and NBC wants to cancel it. Makes sense to me seeing as SVU has gone so far downhill this past 4 years. The orginial Law and Order was so much better.

  • Jill

Happy I don’t have to wait until Spring for Chuck to start again.

    • lala

if this was facebook, 1000x like!

    • SharB

      me, too.

    • LAJackie

Me too! Looks like Chuck and SVU are the only things on NBC I’ll be watching. I might give L&O:LA a looksie but NBC is hanging on by a thread on my dvr.

  • moni

Wow! Just realized how little I watch NBC.

    • Joe

same here! I don’t watch even one of these shows…and I’m a TV junky.

    • Levente

When I saw that list, I thought. Huh. That’s an extremely small lineup. The Office and BL are the only things calling my name.

    • Levente

Wait. Aaaand football. But I don’t really think that counts as “NBC programming,” so I still think this lineup is weak. (That’s the word I was looking for earlier when I said small)

    • Lady Pirate

I’ll second that one. There isn’t a single show on this lineup that I watch.

    • Sil

I agree. The only show on the list I watch and absolutely love is Parenthood, and thank goodness it doesn’t run at the same time as the new Deadliest Catch season.

    • Donna

This sums me up as well! This used to be my “go to” network, with Must-See TV and all! Out of this ENTIRE schedule, I think I’ll only watch Parenthood and LOLA–both shows I am just trying to give a chance. Sigh…

    • MB

      NBC is fourth again.

    • Jaded

I know! I got excited to see when my shows are coming back on and I realized none of these are my shows. NBC’s lineup bites! And they shouldn’t have gotten rid of Southland–that show was sweet! Thank God for TNT!

  • Nerwen Aldarion

    Can’t wait for Chuck!

  • Karate Pants

It makes me sick to see the Thursday lineup without Parks and Rec. Blech.

    • Karate Pants

Oh, and I’m totally boycotting Outsourced for murdering my beloved Parks and Rec’s fall return (don’t tell me this is all becuase of Poehler’s pregnancy, I won’t believe it).

      • Constance

They didn’t cancel Parks and Rec -they just moved oversees for cheaper labor that can work overnight for your IT support

      • B-

Before you fly into an unjustified rage, Parks and Recreation is starting later because Amy Poehler is pregnant.

      • Stephanie

I can tell you with 100% certainty, B– that P&R coming in the mid-season has NOTHING to do with Amy’s pregnancy. They filmed 6 of their episodes for the second season immediately following the first season wrap to be sure that her pregnancy wouldn’t have any affect on the broadcast schedule…and then NBC made the move anyway. NOTHING TO DO WITH AMY.

      • KaterHater

Stephanie, before you fly off the handle: yes, NBC COULD have have chosen to air the 6 eps. of Parks & Rec. they already have filmed. But then they’d have to put it on “hiatus” while they wait for Amy to get back. By deferring it until later, they can show the whole season at once.

      • @KaterHater

But that’s not why they did it. They specifically are holding P&R so they can try and launch a new comedy (Outsourced) on Thursday nights. They had to hold one of their comedies until midseason, and for some reason, they chose their best comedy.

      • Jethro

Maybe NBC believed the addition of Rob Lowe for an arc of episodes was more disastrous as they thought. Are all of you expecting his appearance to help this show, the blogs say he is ruining it, so delaying the inevitable is the best move, besides the pregnancy.

  • ann

You know, some people do stay in on Friday and Saturday nights, and would like to watch something that’s not CRAP.

    • Edina

Once upon a time, the networks used to show kid-friendly family shows on Friday and Saturday, so families (more likely to stay in generally) would have something to watch. Now the networks use all their prime-time space ignoring the fact that children exist, and they’re SO SHOCKED that teenagers growing up now aren’t suddenly tuning into broadcast TV when they’re 18. You have to build bad habits early, NBC!

      • Marc Peurye

That was before the advent of cable (Noggin, Nickelodeon, etc). NBC has not had that kind of programming since the 1980′s (e.g. Different Strokes, Silver Spoons)(when cable began)> The majority of the audience for network television is adults and as an adult I prefer programming not aimedat the intelligence of a 5 year old. The excellence of the “Law an Order” franchise fulfills that for me. It is appropriately TVMA (Mature Audiences). May I recommend that you READ to your child, share a Barney video, or even a night on Nickelodeon.

    • Marc Peurye

BTW Teens Don’t watch NBC. ABC Family, Dismey Channel, Fox, CW all offer programs for teens. Please see “The Secret Life of the American Teenager”, “Glee”, “Pretty Little Liars”,and “Gossip Girl” forexamples

      • DramainMotown

Although, as a teen back in the 90s I used to watch Friends, Will and Grace, ER, Days of Our Lives and in the early 90s Saved By The Bell on Saturday mornings. Not much on right now for teens these days.

    • EF

      Amen sister.

  • PJM

Should be interesting to see how Chuck does in the ratings this year. If people have interest in “The Event”, CBS might be a little more vulnerable now on Monday nights in general with Big Bang Theory moving to Thursdays and 2 1/2 Men continuing its downhill slide. How I Met Your Mother might need the show that follows it to help it out a bit.

  • BeBe

Can’t wait for The Office. Steve Carell’s last season and the return of Hollly :) Should be great!

  • mark in nyc

BRING BACK JAY LENO AT 10!

    • Jeremy

Apparently Jay Leno reads ew.com because he’s the only one who would make such an inane comment.

  • ugly nikki

Wednesday is looking sexy for the over 35 crowd…but, if I find something better, there is always SAturday…who am I kidding? I DVR everything

  • Briana

I can’t wait until Chuck! My Mondays this year are going to rock!

  • Michael

when outsourced fails like its suppose to then we’ll see parks and rec back before you know it.

  • MouseRat

No Parks makes me sad. =(
