Sources confirm to me exclusively that Fox has signed on to return for the procedural’s upcoming 11th season. Terms of her new contract are being kept under wraps, so it’s unclear whether she’ll be billed as a recurring guest star or a series regular.
CBS declined to comment.
Fox was one of five CSI vets negotiating new pacts with the show — and the last to sign on the dotted line. She joins fellow returnees Marg Helgenberger (Catherine), George Eads (Nick), Eric Szmanda (Greg), and Paul Guilfoyle (Jim). Laurence Fishburne (Ray) reupped last April for one more year. Liz Vassey, meanwhile, will not be back.

ugh! they got rid of Liz, which really sucks, and kept jorja! blah. don’t like her character at all. probably won’t be watching anymore. this last season was not all that great anyway.

I agree about the Liz/Jorja thing. They kept the wrong actress. Vassey’s character was just beginning to get interesting and Fox’s character has run her course, becoming TV’s biggest sad-sack along the way. Jorja Fox was much more enjoyable during her short stint on ER.
Hate to me too, but me too. I can’t stand her, and loved it when she was gone. They picked the wrong character to keep. Guess I’ll have to keep on Sookie-ing past her scenes.

Okay…if you don’t get why they brought Jorja back YOU REALLY AREN’T A FAN. HELLO?!?! William Petersen is going to guest star since his wife is BACK!!! Plus, Liz Vassey LEFT. She wasn’t FIRED. Get a DICTIONARY for your brain’s sake!!! And personally, Sara-Jorja Foxx-Is my FAVORITE character and EVERYONE has their imperfections and if you think someone’s MOUTH is gonna hold them back you’re obviously missing some IQ points.

Happy for Jorja, but why oh why couldn’t CBS save Paget Brewster and A.J. Cook??!
I am still trying to figure that one out!! Technically they didn’t need saving…their contracts weren’t up but like Melina K CBS asked Paget Brewster to take a pay and role reduction and just simple handed AJ Cook a pink slip.
There was no need to do it…oh wait yes there was, they needed the money to pay Charlie, the cast of NCIS and the cast of CSI. And you know it is true, just look at who walked away from CSI NY b/c they wanted her take a pay cut! All the changes this offseason to every show have been about money and it is unfortunate that some had to suffer while other got paid for being arrested twice, beating their wife and getting probation/community service. Ya gotta love this country!

Uh no. He got paid because he’s the lead in a massive ratings&critical hit.
Sheeen’s sitcom is in no way a critical hit. Its ratings justify the money given to him, of course, but it has nothing to do with the quality of the show.
He seems a less than savory character, but that won’t dictate how much he gets paid.
So if CBS is cutting off actresses from its shows, they’ve definitely lost me. Is Jorja Fox cheap? I don’t understand anything about this network anymore

Every time on CSI when they begin to build up a relationship….BAM…gone! What’s up with that!!!
I’d rather they keep Vassey and get rid of Langham. There’s an overload of cast members, and Hodges isn’t interesting enough to be a regular.
They should trim some of the guys from the cast and keep Vassey.

I stopped watching when Fishbrne came on board. But, I was pretty much over the CSI/LV thing anyway. Now if they’d just replace Joe Mantegna on Criminal Minds, I’d be pretty happy with CBS.

+Jorja is the bright spot on CSI now, but last season she coasted in her role. Maybe tptb will give her something substantial this season and put Langston/Fishburne on the back burner–or off the show. Hate to hear Liz will not be back–our loss–she will be missed.
Yey! I’m so happy she is back, but I agree with you. I hope they give her more to work with.
Don’t hate on Langston. Fishburn is an exceptionally talented actor. But the chemistry is gone with all of the characters, and the writing is dull. CSI Miami and New York still have chemistry, intrigue, mystery, and the style of filming that keeps you interested. The stories are so predictable.
Angel- I couldn’t agree with you more! I used to love CSI (Vegas), and I tried to watch every episode or most at least, but now its old and the same and boring, Miami is starting to become that way, not there yet, but give it some time, NY on the other hand , I love!!

How can she come back when she left because it was too much for her to deal with? Did she wake up one day and bam…love it again and want to leave her soul mate husband miles away? They need new writers. Vegas is a hot place. But you would not know it with stories written.
