YAHOOO!!! So, so excited for this news. One question I have will the episodes be available on I-tunes or Amazon the next day? I hope so.

Well…I have Dish…but My mother on the other hand has DirecTV. :) Many more trips to mother’s house coming up next January. lol

I am trippin’ over how amazing this news is! There is still hope for GOOD television yet!

Love this show, love this show, love this show. Bummed it’s only on Directv but we could be facing the alternative.
    Glad Patty’s back!!!

Don’t have DirecTV, so boo on having to wait probably a very long time to see these… but YAY YAY YAY on them recognizing one of the most brilliant series to come around in decades!!!

I love that Damages has been saved but it sucks that it’ll only be on DirectTV

  • Marie

Oh, I am so happy to hear that. Damages was the best written, most suspensful show I’ve seen in my many years. I couldn’t understand why they would cancel it. Thank you Directv. Maybe we can get some more quality programming like that. More intelligent scripts, less sex, vampires, and child-like acting. THANKYOUTHANKYOUTHANKYOU!!!

I’m so thrilled that DirecTV saved Damages – at least someone recognized the brilliance of this series!

I honestly don’t care that it will be offered only on DirecTV because there will definitely be DVD releases and such.

How is this a win for Damages fans? Are we expected to change our TV provider? I guess we’ll get to see the show on DVD eventually.

And if the show doesn’t have enough viewers to justify its existence when it’s available on every cable and satellite network in the USA, how will it justify its existence when only the fans who use DirectTV can watch it? It will be such a niche thing that it’s hard to imagine any great actors who aren’t already locked in by contract wanting to be involved.

    • Amy

There are plenty of people who don’t have pay channels like HBO and Showtime and patiently wait for the shows on those channels to be released on DVD to watch them. Stop being such a negative Nancy. What is this crap about justifying its existence? They are going to make two more seasons, and that will probably be it. And we can get a proper finale out of it too. Friday Night Lights on DirecTV managed to “justify its existence,” and guess what? The two leads finally were nominated for Emmys for the first time.
This is a win for all fans of Damages. Go be a pessimist somewhere else.

Um, yes. I’m guessing DirecTV hopes this WILL get people to switch service providers. I already did when they took on Friday Night Lights but I’m sure more will for Damages. Quality TV shows, better price and better service – what’s not to like? Plus you get the immense thrill of calling up your cable company and telling them to SHOVE IT!

I LOVE DIRECTV!!! They’ve saved two of my all-time favorite TV shows!

Three cheers for DirecTV!! Hip Hip Hooray! Sorry, you won’t get my subscription – but you’ll get my DVD rental money as soon as it drops. It works for Dexter, it will work for Patty Hewes.

    Best News All Month!!!

This is great news for the cast, crew, and everyone involved with the show. I, however, am very sad that i won’t get to see more of one of the very best shows on TV.
I have cable, so I’m S.O.L., but maybe some day I’ll get to view it. Good luck to everyone involved!
