Exclusive: 'Jericho' grad joins 'Lie to Me'

lie-to-meImage Credit: Sam Jones/Fox; Valerie Macon/Getty ImagesWould I lie to you? Probably. But I’m telling you the truth when I say that Lie to Me has just cast Shoshannah Stern. The Jericho alum will recur during the show’s upcoming third season as a grad student hired to help Dr. Lightman (Tim Roth) write his new book.

Though some of the psychologist’s colleagues fret that the newbie’s disability will make her job all but impossible—like the actress, the character is deaf—Lightman takes a shine to her.

Thoughts? Be honest, you think Stern is a pretty fantastic addition, don’t you? Hit the comments!

this show is great, and she was great on Jericho and Weeds.

Yay! I’m so excited to hear this, and I don’t even watch Lie to Me. I love Shoshannah Stern! Maybe I’ll start watching the show…

    • Colin

You should watch it! It’s one of the best shows on TV right now.

Oh wow, intriguing! Sounds like an excellent character addition to make an already brilliant show more awesome! *Love* Lie to Me!!

Yay! I can’t wait to see it now!

  • Hillary

don’t watch Lie to Me, but she was great in Weeds

  • Cash

I have no interest in this show at all, but I’m thrilled to see her getting work. She was awesome in Jericho.

    • William

Love the show, can’t stand looking at her. The first reason not to tune in, she is as bad as the human foot (Sarah Jessica Parker) to look at.

        I bet you’re GORGEOUS. Not.

      • Kevin

Wow, thats pretty damn shallow. I suppose you only watch shows with bimbos with fake breasts. You’re an idiot.

Absolutely, actually love watching this show. I am afraid though because when I get attached to something on tv it gets taken off, but, I still watch every week. Great acting and writing. Don’t know this young girl, but, my hope is this doesn’t mess up what is a perfect group of people. I am sure she will be fine if they felt they needed someone.

So happy to hear about one of our favorite Jericho Girls!!!!!

  • Jason

Love the show and this will be a great addition. I’m sure the writers will handle it cleverly.

  • Jennifer

Never seen the show due to work schedule but I know her from Jericho. I think she will be a great add to the show.

Shoshannah Stern is great. She’s an excellent addition to a show I already thoroughly enjoy.

  • Kitty

Love Shoshannah and love Lie to Me… it is wonderful news!!

Is she going to be a regular just like Mekhi Pfifer is a regular? Because he has like, one line per episode, if at all.

      • AuntieD

As far as I know, Mekhi Pfifer is not a regular, he is a recurring character. I could be wrong, though.

  • Bethany

So thrilled! I loved her on Jericho and it sounds like her character on Lie to Me should be a fascinating add.

  • JG

I watched Jericho, but who was she? I do not recognize the picture. Did she put on weight? Lets just say that it is always nice for an unemployed actor to get a paying job (said the father of the unemployed musician).

    • Eddie

JG, She played Bonnie. She looks nothing like that pic. I saw here at a bar last week and she still looks as she did in Jericho. Must be a bad pic. Cannot wait to see her on “lie to me!”

  • Angela

Great add to Lie to Me! Makes sense for a deaf actor to be on par for body language and Lie to Me is all about that! Love the show… Go Sho!
