    I don’t think the show needs another character. They don’t show enough of Loker as it is. And besides that, why are grad students on TV always female? Why not have a male grad student? Lie to Me has been my favorite show, but that may change.

    The introduction of a deaf character into the show will add an interesting demension,focusing our attention even more acutely on the NONverbal aspects of communication, within different types of relationships. Who isn’t intrigued by the nonverbal aspects of communication? If you’re not, you’re also probably lonely……

    I am not familiar with this actress but I think adding a character with a hearing impairment is really interesting in light of what the firm does. In a recent episode Foster (the faboulous Kelli Williams!) watches a video without the sound so she can focus on body language alone. So the new character’s perceptions should add an interesting element to the show.

      I am thrilled that Shoshannah will be on this show, which I already thought was very watchable.

      I agree with the comments that “it’s a natural” to add a deaf character, given the emphasis on body language and reading nonverbal cues.

    The addition of Shoshannah Stern will only make the show that much better. She is an AMAZING actress who has all the talent, skills and beauty of ANY star you choose to put her up against so I am always pleased to see her career move forward.
