Scoop: 'Twilight' vamp Rachelle Lefevre heads 'Off the Map'

rachelle-lefevreImage Credit: Albert L. Ortega/PR PhotosRachelle Lefevre apparently isn’t going to rest until she plays a doctor on TV. The ex-Twilight actress, who had a role in John Wells’ ill-fated CBS medical drama pilot, is joining the cast of ABC’s upcoming Shonda Rhimes-backed physicians-in-paradise soap Off the Map.

Lefevre’s character, Eva, is a free-spirited missionary doc who is well versed in international medicine and global health. She worked at the clinic before, but left due to her troubled romantic history with its founder, Ben (Martin Henderson).

Lefevre is also known for her recurring roles on What About Brian, Boston Legal, and Swingtown.

Hope Shondra doesn’t get bored & forget about the show like she does Greys’.

    • Kay

Shonda Rhimes wrote the finale of Grey Season 6.

    • ythu

She should be on True Blood, the best show on TV

  • Patrick Moore

    Who was she in twilight?

    • Josie

She was Victoria in the first two films before she was replaced by Bryce Dallas Howard

    • Jo

Victoria from Twilight and New Moon (Not Eclipse)

    • Seth

Or, as I liked to call her, “Thrift Store Vampire”…

      • Hillary

        snicker

  • Modwild

She was also the original Annie in Life on Mars before they did the horrific recasting with Gretchen Moll and Harvey Kietel. The names raised expectations and ruined the show. Hope she finally succeeds!

    • Emily

To be fair, Americanizing it ruined Life on Mars. Hope this does well. I always enjoy Rachelle Lefevre in her many guest star appearances.

I just finished watching the British version–how much did the US version murder it? Is it worth watching just for comparison?

  • M

I hope she does well. She’s a great actress. I hate that the other pilot didn’t get picked up, though, because the cast was amazing, but I’m excited to see what Shonda has in store for OTM. She’s pretty good at her medical dramas…

Doctors are running sores, running from themselves and society…yet their scabs will heal us all.

  • Connie

That is great news. I was ticked when she was replaced in the twilight series. I cant wait to watch!

    • TV_Pete

I definitely prefered her as Victoria.

      • sd

        seriously new victoria succcked

  • JRose38

I can honestly (and ashamedly) admit the only thing I’ve seen her on was Big Wolf On Campus. She was replaced on that after a season.

    • Kylie

she wasn’t replaced. she left the show to go to university. I admit that that’s the only show I’ve watched where she’s had a big part in it and I loved her on it. I was bummed when she left.

  • Sarah

Why is she always getting replaced?!!?!

  • Michelle

Love Rachel, but I’ve sworn off Shonda shows. Woman has five storylines and just keeps recycling them. Ugh.

  • Allen

    Big Wolf on Campus.FTW..lol

    • Becca

I’m glad SOMEBODY from the show has an actual career. XD

  • cece

I loved her on What about Brian and as Victoria in the first two Twilight movies

  • Dustin

Okay, now I’m definitely watching this! Rachelle is beautiful!

  • amanda

I so wish she’d of played Victoria in Eclipse. I thought Bryce Howard was terrible, even my 7 year old laughed at her and asked where the real Victoria was.

    • Charles

You let a 7-yr.-old watch Eclipse?

  • alli

I so wish Rachel would have played Victoria in Eclipse – she is the BEST Victoria!!!!!

  • Steven

    LIFE ON A STICK!
