'Dexter' spoiler alert: Watch the season 5 trailer!

Because not everyone can make it to San Diego, Showtime has released the Dexter season 5 trailer that debuted Thursday at Comic-Con. Quickie review: I love everything about this preview except the cheesy voiceover. Agree? Disagree? Watch the clip (after the jump) and then promptly hit the comments!

    DAAAAAAAAAAMMMMMIIITTTTT!

I’m gonna go ahead and say that this will be the FINAL season of Dexter. Quinn is on Dexter’s ass. Dexter is still killing in a time of grief and stress which means he’ll got sloppy and leave clues around for Quinn or Deb to figure out who he REALLY is. He told Deb ‘She dies because of me’.
I Hope this is the final season, not because I hate the show (I love it actually) but I don’t wanna see it get dragged down.

      • deb

It is not the final season. There is still at least one more after this one. They have already signed on for that many seasons at least.

    • jen

I second your DAMMMMMMMMITTTTTTTTTT so not fare, show the english the clip or feel our wrath!

      • Kristina

Chill people, the trailer is up on YouTube. Geez.

      • USA

Haven’t been worried about England’s wrath since 1776.

      • iamlandru

USA. Be a man and watch “Top Gear”. We need the U.K. Plus we’ll all be socialist in a year…. so we have that going for us.

  • Kat

WHY DO I HAVE TO BE STUDYING ABROAD IN NEW ZEALAND RIGHT NOW?

  • Michelle

Some of this looks great. Some scenes like with the kids I don’t like. Hate most storylines with whiny kids. Hope there’s not much of that.

    • lunaburning

I agree. Seems a little too contrived and predictable in a series that has been anything but. I’m really not hoping to see “A Very Special Episode of Dexter”.

      • Rion

Whiny kids? Their mother was just murdered, you jackass!

      • j

I mean, it’s pretty natural for them to be reacting badly to THEIR MOTHER’S MURDER. And who knows where they’re going to take this…maybe in the direction of the books! Won’t say anymore here.

    • Rion

      Whiny kids?

    • JJ

Yeah the kids are going to really drag the season down if they get too much screen time. Dexter was much better when the kids were minor characters and kept their mouth shut.

  • Sharon

OMG It looks heartbreaking. This & Boardwalk Empire on the same night, too much.

“THE VIDEO YOU ARE TRYING TO WATCH CANNOT BE VIEWED FROM YOUR CURRENT COUNTRY OR LOCATION.”
    same problem for me

    • Trish

Go to the Showtime website for Dexter and you’ll find it there.

  • Ronet

Nvm. Youtube came to my rescue.

  • Maryann Craven

Actually I loved the whole video. Can’t wait to see how Dexter will handle all the different situations before him. Also, I’ll miss him so much.

  • Harvey

I love Dexter and can’t wait to see
    how this plays out.Incredible series!

  • Briana

    Oh. My. God.

  • rosewood

Looks great! Glad to see the story starts immediately after the end of season 4.

  • MoMama

Lose the voiceover and the whiny kids. The rest is fantastic!

    • Rion

Whiny kids? Their mother was just murdered, you @$$hole!

      • B.

        Calm down, it’s just a show…

      • deedub

Peace Rion, peace. Thou talk’st of nothing.

    • Rob

I’d like to see your response if you were a kid that young and lost a parent.

  • kim in kentucky

OMG OMG OMG!! Hurry up September (at least have True Blood and Mad Men to keep occupied til then)

  • animation

    OMG! Can’t WAIT!!!

    • Liz Lemon

I KNOW! This show is amazing!!! Only two months away!

  • jojo-mama

OMG…i have been waiting for the Quinn-Dexter showdown. Quinn is the new Doakes….Also like that they are using Kyle to haunt him. It looks great and i cant wait for the season premiere. WHEN IS IT??

    • Karen

      Sept 26

    • ew-bot

Second that, jojo-mama. I am psyched. This looks great, and I’m glad it looks like more kills, and not just a big bad this season. I was worried it might not be good, but not worried now.

    • Samantha

IDK, personally Quinn will never top Sgt Doakes. In a way, this feels like a similar season 2 all over again. Dexter’s being hunted, just for a different reason. I’m interested to see how it pans out.

  • Jamie

I am thinking that the show could very easily go down hill over this plot. The reason I like Dexter is because the show is about him leading a double life and taking out the bad guys. I’m not sure that I want to spend an hour a week dealing with his and the kids grief…
