I liked it when Drew had a pie fight with the models on the show. That was classic and unexpected.

Drew is AWFUL. Every time I try to watch the show it’s a mess…he stumbles through the games as if he hasn’t rehearsed, he’s lost all his sense of humor (is this the same guy who did the epic Whose Line??), and he looks miserable and can’t interact with the contestants (though he is respectful to the Beauties). Get rid of him already!

I like Drew even though he’s not a typical game show host. He’s not as polished as Bob Barker but he’s funnier. Before Barker started hosting TPIR, he had hosted game shows for over ten years. Drew doesn’t have that background and that might be a good thing. Being too polished can come off as being phony.

Actually, Drew hosted Whose Line Is It Anyway for several years, and some other shows as well. He has had experience!

drew is doing a wonderful job on this show he has personalized for everyone involved he even let a model be on the show that was pregnant an showin bob never did that drew makes sure that everyone gets credit for how hard they work not just the bitter old man like bob, bob felt that he made the show all by himself drew knows that it takes everyone he calls ppl by name not just job title or hey u cause he doesnt know their name i love how the show has progressed since drew took over i was a little worried how things would go with drew i have to say i was worried for no reason hes doing a wonderful job and if you dont like it STICK IT

I must say I am a fan of Drew Carey on the TPIR. I think he has personalized the show, I love how he knows the models by name, how he “DOES” help the contestants try to win with his coaching. I love how he sometimes takes the game props and crushes, opens, or gives them to the contestant to hold. He has definitely made the show different from when Bob hosted.

I must say I too at times remember all the “mean things” I heard about Bob Barker, but I wouldn’t say I don’t like TPIR because Bob Barker was a tool.

Did anyone notice how much weight Drew lost towards the end of the season. It’s in re-runs now so you won’t be able to tell, but when it starts back next season look at how small Drew has gotten.

I record TPIR and watch it in the evenings, and again I want to reiterate that I think Drew is doing a good job as the host. This country seems to have a problem with progress or change…if you don’t beleive me look at – ahh I don’t want to get political but, same “chewed up grass,” different year and day.

It was a simple slip of the lip, it happens all the time. I don’t think Bob meant any harm. Drew Carey is fine as TPIR host, however, my first choice of replacing Bob would have been John O’Hurley from Family Feud.

Mr, Carey is doning a good job, but we all got used to Bob Barker he is the best
let him do his job, and lets not forget Mr barker.

I can’t stand to watch TPIR with Drew as its host. He should realize that he is just the host and that the contestants are the stars of the show. Even the prizes seem to have gone to heck since he took over.

    • @jerry

really? are you sure about that? the prizes have gone to heck? i take it that you find expensive cars & trips very offensive, don’t you.

  • grumpygirl10

I am flabbergasted at all the negative comments about Drew. He is hilarious on TPIR. He finds humor in the not so great prizes and tries to make a positive spin on it. I find him compassionate to the people who don’t win. I really feel like he is invested in the game and players. He is much more casual than Bob, but he is charming in his goofy nervous way. He had huge shoes to fill and he probably still has insecurities–especially if he is reading posts like this. Give him a chance. He really is funny and nice to contestants and the models. He actually treats the models as humans instead of mannequins.

Great article. I can¡¯t wait to hear more about your research tool. If it is as good as your other products, then you will have another winner. Your article pretty much summed up what I have been seeing too. Great to see some hard data.
