Bravo posts record ratings in July

top-chef-padmaImage Credit: David Giesbrecht/BravoBravo wrapped ts best July in network history with double-digit ratings gains in all the key demographics, thanks to strong performances by Bethenny Getting Married?, Top Chef D.C.,  Work of Art: The Next Great Artist, and Watch What Happens: Live. Those freshman shows helped Bravo post a 36 and 44 percent increase in total viewers and adults 18-49, respectively versus the same time last year (846,000 vs. 623,000 total viewers and 511,000 vs. 355,000 adults 18-49).

In addition, Top Chef D.C. helped Bravo earn the No. 1 spot in all cable for the 9 p.m. timeslot among adults 18-49 on Wednesdays for the month.  On July 8, Bethenny Getting Married? was cable’s No. 1 entertainment show with a season high 2.26 million viewers, while The Real Housewives of New Jersey earned its highest rated non-finale episode of the series with 3.29 million viewers and 2.28 million adults 18-49 on July 12th.

I love Bravo… it that bad? I wonder how is My Life on the D list doing?

    • D

      Sortof poorly

    • Michael

Unfortunately, the ratings are AWFUL. Last eppy brought in around half a million viewers. Not good.

I really like Kathy Griffin, but I stopped watching her show because I’ve found that it has gotten increasingly contrived.

May be time to put that dog out to pasture…

I love Kathy, but I’ve finally given up on the D List. I’ll stick with her standup specials.

I love Bravo too. It was ridiculously bad for Project Runway to jump ship, from one of the best networks on cable to… Lifetime, which is so cheesy I actually cringe when I ask my DVR to record PR…

    • arahsae

Ditto on the cringing. And our cable company doesn’t even offer Lifetime in HD, which makes me even more upset.

    I loooove Bethenny Getting Married?.

    • Kathleen

Me too, Sara. My face hurts after each new ep b/c I’m smiling & laughing so much during the show.

Debating even watching PROJECT RUNWAY this time around. I think it’s ridic they upped it to 90 mins now.

  • Caryn

I’m definitely addicted to Bethenny Getting Married, but sometimes I think Bethenny is ridiculous. Here was her husband calling people because he’s going to be a dad and she’s yelling ‘get in the shower! stop calling people.’ You should be concerned if he isn’t excited. Maybe I’m wrong because I’m 25–thoughts?

    • SandraV

My thoughts are that you’re overly dissecting the show and their actions. It doesn’t show everything they go through.
Overall I think Bethenny is refreshing and hilarious and it’s even funnier that jealous b–ches like the ladies of the View are hard on her.

I love Andy’s show! He has a refreshing talk show.

Good God… how much TV do you Americans watch a week anyways……
