Exclusive 'V' video: Elizabeth Mitchell and cast on premiere's 'big twist' and 'huge winter cliff-hanger'

elizabeth-mitchell“Juliet did it!” exclaimed Lost star-turned-V heroine Elizabeth Mitchell at the outset of our interview over the weekend at Comic-Con. To what was she referring? And what gesture did her V costars make twice during the Q&A that nearly brought her to tears? For answers to those questions, plus major scoop on the forthcoming second season of V, press play!

Elizabeth Mitchell is so funny, lovely and beautiful, as always.

I know. She seems like such an amazing person. I loved her in Lost and now she is great in V.

    • mads

      Ditto

    • Tom

      Favorite person ever!

    • Tom

I HOPE SHE WINS THE EMMY AHH

  • Ryan

V got So Good at the end of last season, I can’t wait.

    • darclyte

Except for the son. He needs to be recast. He seems like a nice kid in real life, but he can’t act.

  • joel

I agree….V’s last few episodes really ramped up and took the show into a new stratusphere of possibilities. I cannot wait for it to start back this fall.

  • R.O.B.

I want to like this show, but for the love, get rid of the green screens in the space ship. It is so poorly done it looks like they are floating – every scene in the ship looks like that. I thought of a cool way to do it – make it like the whole inside of the ship is a virtual reality facade and get one of the heroes to short it out – then we see what the ship really looks like inside. The fake ship scenes are so distracting it is difficult to get into the show!

    • Gusar

I agree that the green screen effects are quite visible, but that they’re so distracting that you can’t enjoy the show? That’s going a bit too far IMO.

      • R.O.B.

The effects shouldn’t distract from the story. I am so aware of the green screens during all the pivotal ship scenes that it is distracting. It’s just… cheesily done. As bad as Phantom Menace was, think of how much worse if all the characters didn’t connect right with the background imagery. If a show is going to rely so much on green screen, it can’t look fake. Unless, like I mentioned, it looks fake for a reason.

Another reason to call in Joss Whedon.

  • Jen E.

    Bring back Tudyk, please Vs?

  • Nathan

This show lost me at episode 2, it was like watching Heroes’ decline but in super fast forward.

    • Chaz Winterbottom

      Or in…FlashForward!

      YYYEEEEAAAAHHHHH!!!!!!!!

  • DW

I hope the big twist is that the show becomes watchable.

    • Kase

That would definitely be the best twist.

    • Chaz Winterbottom

      High-o!

  • Big Dave

Well, that’s ten minutes of my life that I’ll never get back.

I really resent being promised “major scoop on the forthcoming second season” when there was absolutely nothing that we didn’t already know.

  • Jeffrey

Life goes on, get over it

  • Muireann

I think I’m in love with Elizabeth Mitchell.

    • Jenny

      Join the club.

      • p

How can you not be in love with her?

  • Summer

If this show can build on the finale, then I am in. BTW, how hot does Hobbes look in this video? Pls bring that look to the show!

  • Lil Cee

I love Elizabeth Mitchell. She is amazing!!! V is great too!

  • Stella

    I love Liz!!!

I wish this show had better writing…

  • UncleWalty

    Elizabeth Mitchell is stoopid hot

    • UncleWalty

I’ve said it zillion times, so what’s one more: Baccarin, Mitchell, and Vandervoort are all just incredibly hot…LET THEM BE THAT! Ramp up the sex appeal on the show. It’ll work wonders…

  • p

I wish they could bring characters back from the original- like, what’s half-alien Elizabeth doing these days?
And yes, I llooooooovvvvvveeeee Elizabeth Mitchell.
