Exclusive 'Chuck' video: Spoilers, silliness, and a surprise birthday serenade!

ausiello-tour-chuck-leviDespite the fact that we just chatted six days ago at Comic-Con, Chuck‘s Zachary Levi and I still had plenty to discuss at NBC’s press tour soiree last night. First up: Scoop on Old Spice hunk Isaiah Mustafa’s guest appearance in episode 2. And be sure to stick around for part 2 of the video with the rest of Chuck‘s wacky ensemble. The final 30 seconds are particularly magical, if I do say so myself. (Hint: Yesterday was Yvonne Strahovski’s birthday.)

For more videos from Friday's NBC bash—including interviews with Law & Order: Los Angeles' Skeet Ulrich, Outlaw's Jimmy Smits, and Burn Notice's Sharon Gless—head over to the Ausiello TV hub.

    • Diva

They are the perfect ensemble. I don’t know why but i’m a little bit jealous.

      • *MAJOR*

LOL at Ausiello!! He seemed SOO un-enthusiastic till about a minute in………

  • GimplyGump ☺

Must resist toill …. would someone tell the frakkin deaf guy what they said?!?! (breath … green in, red out, green in, red out – who laced my oxygen with Ebola?)

Buy More is renovated. Olivia Munn is hot. Yvonne had a birthday.

In the first video, Ausiello asked Zac about something interesting he’d done in the past 3 days. Zac mentioned Isaiah Mustafa as “Greta,” a new recurring character played by various people. He said that the CIA now owns the BuyMore and has remodeled it, but not radically. Ausiello asked if Zac had met Linda Hamilton, and he said that he hadn’t. Ausiello told him to do some kind of bonding exercise like horseback riding. Zac asked if people regularly bond that way, and Ausiello assured him that they do in Hollywood.
In the second video, Scott Krinsky (Jeff) and Mark Christopher Lawrence (Big Mike) sang a bit of “Happy Birthday” to Yvonne, then Ausiello started asking about the new season. Ryan (Awesome) was incredulous that Linda Hamilton is his mother-in-law. Ausiello asked Yvonne what she had shot yesterday, and Yvonne said that she hadn’t worked. Ryan said that, surprise, he had been shirtless. Scott joked that HE’D been shirtless, too. Ausiello asked if Yvonne was happy that Chuck and Sarah were together and after joking with Vik Sahay (Lester) about answering questions over alternate shoulders, she said that she was happy, and that they’d learned their lesson about inserting a third person between them. Ausiello said that the fans had been livid and didn’t like her with “that Superman guy.” Yvonne said, “We love Brandon!” and that fans didn’t like Daniel Shaw. Ryan said that they’d barely survived Comic-Con. Then they all sang “Happy Birthday” to Yvonne, some more on-key than others.

Thank, MelindaB65, for that nice, detailed responce. I do appreciate it. :-)

You’re welcome, GG–I’m glad that I could help you. I do wish more sites would use captioning for when using the speakers isn’t feasible or possible.

  • Josh

Haha, I love this cast. They all seem to get along so well!

  • PJM

Looking forward to Season 4! This is getting interesting…

  • Aaron

I wish I was friends with them, they are so funny. Can’t wait for season 4!!!

  • Jeremiah

I love Yvonne’s accent! It’s a same they can’t let her keep it for the show.

  • JR

she took the douche with her again :( Well it looks like the cast had fun

    • Josh

      Hmm??? What you mean?

      • JR

Look in the background behing Ausiello.

      • Josh

You mean Ryan or am I missing something?? :-p

      • JR

        Never mind

    • eaglemmoomin

Douche? I feel sorry for the poor man, because some people’s reality filter does not work.

      • JR

Why would you feel sorry for him?

      • Randy

That “douche” treats her like a goddess.

      • steph

        seriously.

  • Good

    This season will be great!

  • Chappel

Note to producers. Do NOT let Awesome sing. Ever.

  • May

Aww, I love this cast! The sing a long was cute! Thanks for the video Mike!

  • Frank Anderson

Wow, Ausiello sure does come off a bit creepy.

    • Get Real

Why d’you think he’s gay?. No offense towards him that’s who he is.

      • Jersey Jeff

        He is, so what?

      • Frank Anderson

Actually I wasn’t connecting that comment to him being gay at all, and I don’t even understand why you went there. I was just commenting on him tersely asking “Chuck” his questions and then leering at him while looking overly-skinny.

      • Get Real

Like I said before no offense, and on him being terse that’s also him he might just to that as part of the job I don’t know.

  • Anna

Even though there wasn´t much in regard to spoilers, those vids were a lot of fun. The second one is extremly cute. Thanks for them.

  • darclyte

Yvonne’s real voice with her Aussie accent just makes her even hotter.

    • Ben

Unless you are a New Zealander

  • Jello

OMG I was laughing and smiling so hard my cheeks hurt. :D Awesome cast, love them so much and can’t wait for season 4. Great stuff, thanks Aus.

  • Jenny

    Beautiful!
