I so agree! Though a huge fan of the show even with the fallouts, I remained hopeful year after year that the show would recuperate. Alas it did bring in great singers but with the new show coming around with Simon heading it…I’m all for it!

  • Jed

Simon was the glure to hold this show together…with him gone now, this show is toast, no matter who you get to replace him. I am just happy that douche Kara is gone.

Anyone saying they should just cancel the show is a moron. When has the #1 show on television ever been canceled?

    • Atina

I don’t sanction name calling, but I agree with your sentiment. That is why there are TV programmers and then there is the general public. Those clamorring for the show to be cancelled would make horrible TV programmers as they would cancel the #1 show on TV.

  • Mary

Please don’t persuade Ellen to stay. I love her on everything she has ever done, but not AI. She just doesn’t fit there.

  • lynne

Still say, with TYLER, it would be worth tuning in to see what crazy thing he would wear or say. Also, in rock history, he is one of the great vocalists.

Please don’t cancel American Idol, because this is the best, but good show, that I like to watch, as my favorite.

  • hippityhop

Tyler wouldn’t work for me – especially teamed with Kara. Wonder if they could get Shania…?

  • Lynn

AI lowering the age limit to 15 is enough for me to quit watching. I think they want to run off the “older” viewers hoping we switch to X-Factor.They are looking for the next Justin Bieber or some other kiddie/Disney worthy talent. I’m not a big fan of JLo or Tyler so unless I hear they have some majorly talented singer I guarantee I won’t watch next season.I watched this year just to vote for Crystal. I have watched the British X-Factor on youtube and enjoyed it so I will probably give it a try.

  • redvector

This won’t end the show but it will accelerate it’s decline.

      You’ve got that right redvector

I know Idol is first and foremost a reality show contest, but shouldnt they at least try to turn out someone who can sell CDs and concert tickets….like a truly popular contestant, not a “faux” one? The fans of one contestant were “bragging” that he had two sold out shows, without stopping to mention that each show totaled all of 300 people! The voting system needs to be changed and the contestants should be way more diverse. Pick judges from the music industry who are good evaluators of talent, and can give specific critiques. And how about a voice coach on the panel? People should be called out if they sing out of tune. Just saying. Is there any wonder why AI has no credibility here or overseas?

  • idolt

Without Simon Cowell, all you have is another boring reality show. Two years tops, and American Idol is gone for good.

  • Hilda

Men are less emotional and more business minded. Harry, John and Henry sounds good to me. They all have a good musical knowledge and background. Although I believe no one can replace acid Simon. I love him. Fan in Canada

    • Jon

Hi Hilda, you must mean Connick, Elton and Jackson.

  • Terri

For Me: Not necessarily, but if they sing like Lambert and Clay, by all means, judge them on their amazing talent, and send them through.

  • MIKe

The only way AI is going to be cancelled is “bad ratings”. Simple as that. Even with a big dip the ratings for season 9, it was still ranked 1 or 2 for the season. If not for Crystal Bowersox, I would have quit watching season 9.

Great show and singers and BlondeDatingSite was very good
