Christopher McDonald (Family Law, Happy Gilmore) has landed the recurring role of Thomas “Tommy” Jefferson, a fast-talking, attention-seeking lawyer whose office is perma-lit for press conferences.
Debuting in the show’s second episode, Tommy goes head-to-head with Corddry’s Adam in an unlikely case about the legality of China’s one-child-only policy. And just like that, a rivalry is born.
Law, which is slated to premiere at midseason, stars Oscar winner Kathy Bates as Harriet Korn, a former patent attorney who forms an unconventional law firm in a run-down shoe store. The cast also boasts American Dreams‘ Brittany Snow.

TV scoop is even better served after it’s been proofed. “Run-down,” please.
David E. Kelley is making a TV show about an unconventional law firm? Wow… that’s… totally different.
LOL. He needs to give it up already.
It has been far to long since we have been treated to David E Kelly’s wonderful approach & to lawyers.
Well, he did an excellent job before. So, keep going, Kelley!
He did 3 excellent jobs before
The way the headline read, I thought Peter Griffin was joining the cast.
lol me too
me three!
I searched the Family Guy wiki to see who he played., before I read the article again.
lol, “exclusive”, NELLIE ANDREEVA wrote this two weeks ago
oops, my bad
I think I would rather you say it’s Christopher McDonald, commonly known as Goose from Grease 2.
Does anyone besides me think that Christopher McDonald would have been a better choice to play Tony DiNozzo’s father on NCIS rather than Robert Wagner? I find the resemblance striking.
Wow, never thought of that. I did think Robert Wagner looked a bit like tony, but now that you have said it, I agree with you…
I love Christopher McDonald as Tommy Jefferson. Harry’s Law is the best new drama on TV. Very well cast.
Wow, As soon as I saw Christopher McDonald on Harry’s Law I said to my Husband, he really reminds me of Tony DiNozzo. I guess this is very noticeable. I found this site because I was looking for a family connection to this similarity. Great Minds Think Alike, lol.
