Sources confirm to me exclusively that Bundy—who played Elle Woods in the Broadway version of Legally Blonde—has been cast as Robin’s new cohost on Metro News One. She succeeds Don (Ben Koldyke), who left town in May’s season finale after dumping Robin.
Rumor has it Bundy’s character will go out on a date with Ted, but it’s my understanding that she is not the “complicated and intriguing” new love interest exec producer Craig Thomas mentioned in this week’s Ask Ausiello. (Additional reporting by Whitney Pastorek)

Any time NPH sings it is pure entertainment. My favorite ep is the 2nd season Christmas ep where they all are caroling.
You know what? If I read that someone IS actually The Mother one day, I will be crazily annoyed. There’s so much mystique at this stage, I don’t want to know the actress until I see the show. Hopefully they will go into Lost levels of secrecy.
If I HAD to read a name, though, my choice has already been and done with. Poor Rachel Bilson.

I’m not at all impatient to have her revealed though. Some people seem to be and seem to be losing patience, but for me she’s a very very minor part of the show regardless of its title.
I agree. I definitely would not want to know. Even though I’m a firm believer in the mother being played by an unknown, my choice of Joanna Garcia has already been on the show too. Too bad.

It’s news because for once Michael announced an upcoming female guest star on HIMYM and *didn’t* proclaim her as the Mother.
She’s an incredibly bland actress, there’s nothing to her. I have no interest in seeing her on TV.

Kudos to her for having the strength of character not to get her nose reworked into one of those “cookie cutter” hollywood noses.

actually its the whole left side of that picture. Her eyebrow, nose and mouth are completely different from the other side. I couldn’t stop staring at the bad picture.

Yes, how dare they hire an actress whose physical appearance is less than perfectly symmetrical. Better fake it up so that people don’t start getting the idea that uglies (ie, anyone with a physical “imperfection”) are people, too!
I’ve loved Laura Bell Bundy since Jumanji, and she was so good in Legally Blonde. She’s actually very funny and I can’t wait to see her on the show.
Robin doesn’t work on Metro News One anymore. She’s the host of “Come On, Get Up New York”, on Channel 12.

If she is not the mother and she is not “complicated and interesting”, why should we care that Ted will date her? We know it’s not going to last so why bother. Thy better show the mother soon before the shark jumps and eats her and then nobody cares anymore.

She was pretty good as Maura on Guiding Light a million years ago. But I met her after that and mentioned watching her on the show and she just said “that’s funny.”
I have to make a correction: Robin hasn’t worked in Metro News One since early in season 4. She works in Channel 12 (Season 4 Episode 14 “The Possimpible”)… I’m surprised you didn’t know that!!
