Although Rhimes prefers to keep the identities of the Grey’s bride and groom hush-hush (the photo to the left may or may not be a clue), the boss lady confirms TVGuide.com’s scoop that the altar-bound Private pair is Violet (Amy Brenneman) and Pete (Tim Daly).
“They have a child together, they’ve been through so much, they’ve known each other forever,” Rhimes explains. “It felt really natural to me that they would make the leap and get married.”

Yeah I am surprised it’s not Charlotte and Cooper seeing as they’re engaged and last we saw of Pete and Violet, they weren’t.

I hope it is Owen and Cristina, but I’m thinking it’s Callie and Arisona. I think the show will want to make a statement with the gay marriage thing, there are no other gay characters for them to hook up with if they break up, and where else can this relationship go?

I think it’s owen and cristina too coz they say that 1/2 of the parents show up and we’ve never met arizona’s parents and I doubt it’s lexie and alex (coz I think that the couple that gets engaged in the second episode is Mexie
) and we’ve seen cristina’s mom and also owen’s mom so I kinda think it’s them

I think it will be Lexi and Mark. Remember her saying to him “I have a boyfriend” and him saying back “But you could have a husband.”? Alex was burned by Izzie and won’t marry her, still not convinced Callizona will get back together, Christina had just decided to shack up with Owen (and she was burned by Burke at the altar, why would she risk that again?) And the post-it was SO Mer/Der… and I am sure it was made legal off screen. Dark and Twisty Meredith doesn’t have the bride gene, no matter how bright and shiny she becomes!
Mer/Der got married at the court house in the finale.
Christina, MerDer didn’t get married at a courthouse in the finale, but did the post-it note wedding thing. Conversely, Carrie and Big got married in a courthouse as the finale of the first SATC movie, and Carrie was previously dumped via post-it.

NO! MerDer did not get married at the courthouse!! They said they would in the finale of season 5 but did not have time to do it with all the stuff going on at the hospital and izzie’s cancer issue so they did it via post-it.

I fricken hate Pete and Violet together. Wish she had been killed off instead of Dell. Pete and Addie all the way! Hate Addie and Sam as well. NO chemistry there, and that’s her bff’s ex hubby. Not sure if I’m going to keep watching PP with the crappy couple.

Oh I am TOTALLY with lorna on this one. I’ve wanted Addie and Pete together since she was still on Grey’s Anatomy and they were only beginning to create this spin-off!!! I’ve always thought Shonda would have them end up together and am endlessly frustrated with all the other pairings (Pete-Violet, Addison-Sam). I’m really upset that Addison-Pete isn’t going to happen. I wish Violet had never come back!

I think it’ll be Christina and Owen. The actor who plays Owen (on the tip of my damn tongue) has renewed his contract, so he isn’t going anywhere, and after Christina thought she lost him during the finale, I’m thinking she’s forgotten all about Burke. Mer/Der did the post-it, which is about as ‘wedding’-ish as Merideth gets, so I doubt it’s them. Plus I heard rumors that Derek is going to have a very hard time mentally recovering after what happened in the finale. I don’t see him being in that happy/shiny wedding place for a long time. My big question is will Meredith tell him she was pregnant and miscarried?

OH MY! I hope it’s NOT Cristina and Owen. Why would any Cristina fan want him with her or better yet, why would any girl want a guy like him for herself. He was ok in the beginning I admit, but viewers got to know him a whole lot better in season 6. And it wasn’t pretty at all!

I can see him being giddy and dragging Mer to the courthouse. As much as I LOVE Owen and Cristina, I see them more as the LONG term committed couple. Just together.

I think I’ve read that Lexie and Mark will (thank GOD) be getting back together, so that likely precludes a Lexie/Alex marriage. Plus, like someone else said, I don’t see Alex rushing back down the altar so soon after Izzie.
If Mark & Lexie get back together, they will definitely marry. Mark did watch/listen to Lexie as she told Alex she loved him (while he was laying on a gurney & wounded).

pete and violet HAVE been together in one way: mentally. always. no matter what, they always loved each other. and in the season 2 finale, she chose him and they coupled up. it was the baby and attack that drew them apart. but they kept the couple alive by doing things like having pete say he loved violet accidentally when with addison. they may not have dated, but always were a couple in that way. and in the end, they reunited for real in the final season 3 episodes. so now this makes sense.
shonda killed the show by putting a certain couple together? really? guess you should go watch something else then considering a show that makes a couple you don’t like is automatically horrible.

Nope Liz, I’m pro Pete/Violet too. They were good friends in the prior years and when they did get together, they were actually quite awesome. Nope they haven’t had much stability there together but was understandable after what went down during Lucas’s delivery. What road to love is smooth? Look at ALL the other couples. They’re all messy and screwed up!

PP is amazing, or at least has become. i’m a die-hard grey’s fan, but enjoyed PP on at least 5 occasions last season. and people dissing PP and still holding out breath/arguing for addison to return to grey’s: it’s time to MOVE ON. she’s only ever coming back in a crossover. the end. stop whining.

Okay, i admit merder werent as good as usual this season but thats only because they barely had any scenes because of Ellen. Let me remind you when they arent front and center the show isnt the same and when abc wants better ratings they promote merder not owentina. Either way…Meredith and Derek are a classic.

Since the show is supposed to be in Seattle, gay marriage is not legal there. The couples mentioned in another article were: Callie/Arizona Owen/Cristina Lexie/Alex. Ausiello is tricky but I think it could be Owen and Cristina. They have been mentioned the least in any spoilers so far.
Unless…Callie and Arizona drive down to California and they do a Grey/Private Combi Show!
