dexter-hall-vanceImage Credit: Steve Granitz/WireImage.com; Peter Iovino/ShowtimePrison Break‘s Chris Vance (Whistler!) has booked a multi-episode arc on the upcoming fifth season of Dexter, sources confirm to me exclusively.

The British thesp—who most recently headlined Fox’s short-lived shrink procedural Mental—will play Cole, a meticulous, physically fit, well-spoken personal aide to a famous businessman.

Vance, who is slated to appear in at least three episodes of Dexter, also recurred on the third season of Burn Notice as an antagonist to Jeffrey Donovan’s Michael.

Other Dexter season 5 guest stars include Julia Stiles, erstwhile RoboCop Peter Weller, and ex–Eli Stone attorney Jonny Lee Miller.

Wow, Dexter is just racking up guest stars this season. I loved Whistler on Prison Break. Here’s to another bloody awesome season of Dexter!

  • Erin

Yay – I loved him on the Aussie show All Saints and loved him on Prison Break.

  • Captain Average

I remember asking Matt Nix if he cast Vance on Burn Notice because of his resemblance to Dougray Scott [his talent pretty much goes without saying...].

He said no, but agreed that there’s a resemblance and a very similar ability to exude danger.

That should be very effecive on Dexter.

No idea that RoboCop was a guest star.
Physically fit? Sounds like Dex is going to have to show off some more of that college-learned Judo.

  • Sabine

we have to discuss the term Star a little …
He was a guest role in Prison Break …
The real star was someone else

  • Scooptress

Is there a newer hipper word for “meh”?

  • Marge Simpson

Yay! I LOVE Chris Vance! Now, if they’d give him a STARRING role in a GOOD show, then I’d be really happy!

Sabine- where does it say he was the star of Prison Break? Read the post and SHUT UP.

  • A

He STARRED in ‘Mental Case,’ a good show, guest-starred on ‘Burn Notice,’ and we shall see about ‘Dexter’ when it airs…
I like the actor. ‘Dexter’ is the perfectly creepy place for him to guest star.

  • Pepper

Blimey – just let me see Jonny Lee Miller in ‘Dexter’ and you can forget the other actors.

    • CORIN

I am with you on that one Pepper

  • FLGrl

Jonny Lee Miller, I’ve missed you!
I’m looking forward to Julia Stiles as well :)

  • Jeff
