Exclusive: Witch 'True Blood' character is Alan Ball conjuring up for season 4?

Though this season of True Blood still has three episodes to go, I’ve already got scoopage on the next one: Long story short, it might Read the full post.

It is the best book in the whole series and you become fully on the Team Eric side of things about half way through the book and kind of internally boo Bill even after the events because you know what Eric can be.

  • Liz

I would like Shiri Appleby… Looks innocent and sweet.
    Or Alexis Bledel?

    • soz

Ooh, Alexis Bledel. Now THAT could be interesting

  • rochelle t

Landau would be awesome… as long as they at least MOSTLY stick to the plot this time with her character??? Please?? the 4th book is my favorite and I really hope to see it on the screen!

    • shellibelli

Landau is in her 40s dont you think that she is a bit old to play this Hallow?
I mean I loved Drusilla and all but I think they are going to need a younger actress.

      • googliezoo

Hallow’s a witch, not a vampire. She doesn’t have to be young.

      • Brett

Yes, but she DOES have to be able to act. Not just put on a ridiculously fake British accent.

  • Don

    Famke Janssen, please…

    • Olive

I second that. That’s the best sugggestion I’ve read so far

  • stella

Two words for you Mr. Alan Ball: SHOWER SCENE!!!

  • Tyler

    YES! Juliet Landau is inspired!

  • lilsleep

I wish everyone would stop comparing the books and the show. I like that elements of the later books are making into the show earlier. That keeps it interesting for those of us that have read all of the books.

  • Valley Girl

Juliet Landau, how we’ve missed ye! I will put my Drusilla action figure on a makeshift altar and chant for your casting in this role…

Otherwise, I wouldn’t mind seeing Lisa Marie back on the screen. She can go back to being brunette if her hair is blonde, red or purple these days…

  • Juice

    Jennifer Tilly or Gina Gershon!

    • CraigJ

No please no to these ideas of Juice’s. You might as well have Sharon Stone if you want Tilly or Gershon. Past their prime I think. Plus Jennifer is too busy playing poker.

  • neoanakinpotter

I think Juliette Landau & Monica Bellucci are great actress’s…but I do hope they are NOT picked for Hallow.

Just my own opinion, But I would be seeing Drusilla the entire time (if Landau got the role) & would much like for a different actress to portray her.

Ditto w/ Monica Bellucci. I’m thinking back to “The Brother’s Grimm”. Not saying it’s a bad movie..it’s cool. Just that I hope monica isn’t picked for Hallow.

My pick would be for someone like Claudia Black. (Shazza from “Pich Black”)

    • Brett

Oh, I know, I know. I don’t believe Russell Edgington because I remember every character the actor played on “Law & Order,” and I just don’t buy Lafayette because I keep remembering the actor from his role in “The Soloist.” Not to mention the fact that I never bought Landau as Drusilla because I kept seeing her as the talentless actress she played in “Ed Wood.”

      • soz

I get what you’re talking about, but I think “neoanakinpotter” means they’ve played similar roles before. Or at least that’s what my reason would be. Not for Monica Belluci though. She’d be awesome.

  • Emma

I read the books and I think the show is so much better! Let’s be honest, after book 4, it all went to hell. I mean the last book? So bad!
So I hope Alan will do his own thing and not be influenced by rabid Eric fans. I mean I like Eric, but some of these fans, insulting Alan, Stephen, Anna? Crazy.
I love the show, and in the show, I hope Sookie will stay with Bill or come back to him quickly.

  • Elisa

Oh, oh! Juliet Landau would be PERFECT! She really is *great*!

  • Paul Rickelton

    Eliza Dushku Yes please

  • isa

    asia argento !?
if she’s a were witch, we need someone who can kick ass !!

    • CraigJ

Holy crap isa, that is the best idea by far. Asia Argento would be perfect plus she doesn’t have a problem with nudity if the role requires it. I haven’t seen her in anything lately? Isn’t she directing now? Even better idea, cast Asia and then have Dario Argento direct an episode. If that were to happen it would be a dream come true.

      • Liz Lemon

Yeah I like her too. I can actually see her on True Blood.

    • soz

THAT IS A BRILLIANT IDEA!!!! She would be PERFECT! Someone please make this happen!

  • James

Did someone seriously refer to Charisma “Queen C” Carpenter as a nuisance? HALE NO!
