'Grey's Anatomy' Exclusive: Diane Farr checks in (and there's a 'House' connection)!

diane-farr-olivia-wildeImage Credit: Jordan Strauss/Getty Images; Inset: FoxIt’s a Grey’s Anatomy/House crossover…in the absolute loosest sense of the word!

Ex-Rescue Me and Numb3rs star (and current AssCastles host) Diane Farr will guest in an October episode of Grey’s Anatomy as a patient with Huntington’s disease—the same ailment that Olivia Wilde’s Thirteen is living with on House.

I warned you it was a loose connection. (Cut me some slack; it’s a summer Friday.)

Farr’s character will be under the care of Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) and is slated to appear in this season’s fourth episode.

Grey’s Anatomy returns on Sept. 23.

Some version of this exchange exists on every page of this website.

if you look his name is nurse jef so that obviously means he watches house which is in the tile if you look!

    • Beth

Then why are you commenting? Or even on here?

  • Lynn

Yay, Diane’s been popping up everywhere lately! I love her.

  • @vojha

I love Diane Farr…I guess I’ll have to watch the fourth episode. I’ve never seen the series at all. Not my thing.

    • Renee

She has been in so many shows. she was downright scary on Desperate Housewives. She used to be cute.

  • Sille

Sad to see her only guest star and not be a major character, I loved her in Numb3rs.

  • Ranelle

The real connection is that Diane Farr was on Roswell with former Grey’s star, Katherine Heigl. Do your research Michael :P

    • eskeigh

But there where would the House connection be?

      • cc

Ok…Diane Farr was on Roswell with Brendan Ferr who was on CSI:Miami sister show of CSI which had Shawn Hatosey as a guest who was in Alpha Dog with Olivia Wilde who has Huntingtons on House.

…Cause it was way too fun not to do!!!

    • Flora

I loved her as Maria’s mother on Roswell.

  • LOVED her on rescue me. i kinda wish she’d get transferred back to their firehouse, but i know that won’t happen, sadly.

  • Mary

That connection’s so loose, it’s practically nonexistant.

  • Michelle

And just like 13, the Huntington’s will fail to kill her in a timely manner.

    • graciie

nah, guest stars are allowed to die quickly

  • Watts

Im here to stan for House

  • Lyle

someone actually gets paid to write this dribble?

    • Dave

While you post drivel for free – that’s how it’s spelled, DRIVEL, not DRIBBLE. DRIBBLE is what leaks off your lower lip while you sit there worthlessly trying to be oh-so-cool with your juvenile negativity.

      • Bel

At the risk of sounding like I’m 13 and it’s 2006 – PWNED. Thanks Dave.

      • relax

        u mah he-ro dave

  • dd

Woohoo good case for meredith THE AMAZING ELLEN POMPEO …

  • Jenny G

wow you would really like some of the episodes of Grey they have fab season finales that even my husband will watch cause hes what the …..
and then boom! All hell breaks loose and at the end of it your like wow!!!!

  • Tim

Ausshole is an idiot. There is no connection here. That’s like saying there is a connection between House, Grey’s, ER, Chicago Hope, St. Elsewhere and Scrubs because they’ve all had patients with heart trouble.

  • guess who

love Diane! will be glad to watch her on GA…

  • GOG

I think a better tie-in is with Sarah Drew, who’s Everwood character feared she had inherited the dreaded disease from her mother.

    • Rebekah

@GOG, I think I love you just for mentioning Everwood–one of the best written, directed and acted familial dramas to ever air on American television. Sarah Drew’s character, Hannah, was great! I hope they do something to improve her character (April…right?) on Grey’s though.
