Talk about good timing. The very same day EW.com readers honored Cougar Town’s secret weapon Busy Philipps with an EWwy Award for best supporting actress in a comedy series, I ran into the actress at the 2010 Entertainment Weekly and Women in Film pre-Emmy party! I’ve got two words for you: Acceptance. Speech.

More! Love her.
ABC has a great one-two punch with Modern Family / Cougar Town. It’s been a loooong time since the great sitcoms were on ABC…
LOVE HER!!!
She’s awesome
Sad that Cougar Town was really under appreciated this year. I laughed out loud more with this show than some of the other nominees.
haha love her. really hope the emmys don’t snub all of CT next year.
she’s awesome! love her (:
Cool!! i love her!!!!
She’s seems so great and I love her on the show.
Kim Kelly is my friend!
Yay Busy!
She will always be my white chick. Love that movie
Props to Mr Johnny above for referencing Freaks and Geeks. Still her best role to date.
…see…Freaks and Geeks
another example of a show I loved that got cancelled. You can tell the potential that the show had just by looking at the success of almost everyone in the cast…Busy, James, Jason, Seth…and Sweets(John F. Daly) on Bones who had such a baby face,
I have loved her ever since Freaks and Geeks!:)
Busy…I hope you were voting for Fringe in the drama category. I’m sure Josh was voting for you!
It’s great that Busy and Josh are both on fan loved shows, if not Emmy voter favorites.
We love you! Now we need to spread the love…
Watch FRINGE
Watch Cougar Town
Total agreement from me. Congrats to Busy!!! I made it clear to everyone in my life that there were 3 non-negotiable votes: Busy, John Noble, and Fringe. I really didn’t care who they chose in any of the other categories.
It makes me nervous when great shows don’t get the ratings that the networks want, but stupid reality shows won’t go away(yes..there are a couple of good ones-Amazing Race, and anything with Gordon Ramsey). At least we have one more year of 2 of my favorites!! (and c’mon Michelle…do a guest appearance on Cougar Town for Busy! Grams and Diane Kruger both did Fringe…)
One of the best Audrey/Pacey moments:
Audrey: Don’t push her head down. Girls don’t like that.
Pacey: ‘Ya think?!
Congratulations Busy! You really deserved to be up for an Emmy. Since that particular group of people obviously don’t know talent when they see it, I’m glad that the EW voters got you the well deserved EWWY!
