I rarely let my emotions get the best of me, but I’d be lying if I said I didn’t get a little verklempt by the sight of Friday Night Lights‘ long overdue Emmy contenders Kyle Chandler and Connie Britton walking the red carpet yesterday as full-fledged nominees. So they didn’t win. Big deal. The positive buzz surrounding FNL‘s fifth and final season all but ensures they’ll be in the running again next year. But back to this year’s event, watch what went down on the red carpet with Britton and Chandler before the ceremony (hint: lots of silliness, an impromptu purse search, and talk of a possible—make that impossible—sixth season).

Perfection.
So glad to see these two nominated. Them and Ma and Pa Kent are my favorite tv husband/wife duos
I adore Kyle Chandler. I was rooting for him to win but Emmy or not he played Coach Taylor to perfection. Thank you, Kyle.
Love them!
Really Connie? A state of Texas pin? As if my little Texan heart could love you any more than I already do.
I like Kyra Sedgwick, but Connie can act circles around her. Regardless, so happy FNL was nominated this year and I hope for a repeat (and win) at next season’s awards show!
LOVE LOVE LOVE the both of them. Such class acts and they should have won. Here’s hoping for lots of FNL love next year, since they did what I thought was impossible this year and got nominated.
I love them. Please please please let FNL get nominated and win next year…
They were robbed.
I Love FNL”S It the Best in a long ,long time, and Kyle Chandler ijust the Best, the whole buch is Fabulous, I know some of the kids have to go on to Bigger things , they are just as good as you get.
I agree. Let’s move on to season 5. And get Kyle, Connie, and the show nominated next year FTW!!!
Watch the show, support the show, get friends and relatives to watch the show. Blog its praises where ever you go on the net. Keep doing what you’ve been doing and then, magnify it.
Love this show and am so happy it’s on for another season!!! The alternative would be just too tough.
“I’m going to Disneyland.” Great answer. lol.
They are both amazing and I wish them the best of luck in their future endeavors.
let’s all go to Disneyland!!!
I love Kyle Chandler. He better book another job on tv right away.
These two outstanding actors come across as honest, down-to-earth, hard-working people who aren’t whining about the fate of the show (as I am!), but seem thankful for the opportunity to work for such a wonderful production. They deserve this long-overdue recognition, and I wish them every happiness.
I wish they had won. They certainly both deserve it.
