Emmy Video: 'Parenthood' star Lauren Graham is torn between two lovers

lauren-grahamLife doesn’t suck these days for Parenthood‘s Lauren Graham. Not only is she gainfully employed on NBC’s second best drama series (after Friday Night Lights, natch), but this season she’ll have two men—Billy Baldwin and True Blood‘s Kevin Alejandro—fighting over her on said drama series. And wait, there’s more: She just learned (via me) that she’s returning to the Emmys next year as a nominee. Hurry up and watch the video after the jump before someone else spoils it for you!

oh I do hope she returns next year as a nominees. she deserves it so much .

    love her

    • Stormy

She needs to return to Star’s Hollow and marry Luke. Not that she isn’t great on parenthood. I’m just praying for a TV movie to tie up all of the Gilmore Girls’ loose ends.

      • Liz

From your lips to God’s ears…

      • Jeni

lolol seriously. if luke and lorelai were a reality show, i would be a homeless person because i would watch it 24/7.

  • jfms777

I like her, but she is playing Lorelai Gilmore–on another show. Not
much of a stretch. Too bad the writers do not try to make her more challenging.

    • Lilly

Completely disagree! She plays Sarah so differently than Lorelai. Lorelai had bravado and confidence and “ran the show” – Sarah is a bit lost and is trying to find her way back to herself. Lauren plays her insecurities brilliantly. Soooo different than Gilmore Girls.

      • ellie

totally agree with you! she plays the two characters completely different

      • Jenn

I agree completely. Lorelei and Sarah are so different, the only similarity is that they are both quirky, single moms.

      • Carrie

I don’t see any Lorelai in Sarah. Very different characters w/ very different personalities.

    • Mel

How on earth are the writers NOT making her role as Sarah challenging? This character is completely different from Lorelai w/ an entirely separate set of problems & dramatic resolutions. The only similarity I can possibly see is that they are both single moms. Watch the entire 1st season & then come back to me on that, I am confident you’d reach a different conclusion.

  • Lilly

AWESOME!!!! Thank you, Michael. And I’m a big fan of your prediction for her nomination next year. I love Lauren, and love Parenthood!

  • Craig

Is there a partition to get Lauren an Emmy, I’ll sign it!

    • Elle

No, but there could be a petition.

      • Lemon

I’d sign the partition too. *shrug*

  • Adrienne

Damn, i lost a bet! i had money on the fact that you would ask about a GG movie. Every other time you would have!

  • Vanessa

“like always”, LOL! I love Lauren! thank you so much, Ausiello.

  • Trey

I am so in love with her. I want to marry her.

  • Buffy Freak

Love Lauren and really enjoy Parenthood. But she needs to fie her stylist…that dress is just awful and she’s showing up on all the Worst Dressed lists today…

    • Craig

      I like the dress.

  • melanie

    love her!!

  • LVG

AMEN Buffy Freak !! She needs to fire her stylist. And if she didn’t have one or listen to one…shame on her. She’s got plenty of bucks (if the top paid in TV article is to be believed.) And she’s a smart, beautiful woman. So how does a “fashion disaster” like last night happen??!! Never again please.

  • Meggy

Love, love, love her and this show!!! Parenthood FTW!

  • Skye

She is absolutely gorgeous. Honestly, Lauren could make a paper bag look amazing. It was kinda sad to see her presenting, instead of being on the other end – being nominated. It’s been a really long time coming, and I’m glad to see that others are at least noting that she was snubbed all those years for Gilmore Girls. Crossing my fingers that Parenthood gains a wider audience and is nominated next year! So much love for Lauren.

  • She sucks

    she sucks and is ugly

    • Yasmin

Uh, ugly? She is undeniably beautiful. I don’t care if you don’t like her as an actress but she is not by any means ugly or anywhere near it.

  • Carrie

Lauren is beyond talented. I couldn’t be more thrilled she’s back on my tv screen every week. Parenthood is great. She is also stunningly beautiful – love her eyes!!!

  • g papas

Lauren Graham is fantastic – an intelligent actor, so rare. Excellent in the part of Sarah. Thank God they are giving her good looking love interests – should be fun.
