Image Credit: Adam Larkey/ABCJimmy Fallon’s opening segment for last night’s Emmys was chock full of fun surprises, starting with the unexpected appearance by TLC’s Kate Gosselin. Dressed in a gown from her memorable run on Dancing with the Stars, Gosselin actually began the skit as the butt of a joke: Fallon and Tina Fey refused to let her sing and dance in their impromptu glee club. Eventually, Gosselin joined in on the fun and went on to perform live on stage during the NBC telecast.
After the show, Gosselin said the whole experience was a real gas, even though she had very little practice time. “It was scary, it was like going back to the days of Dancing with the Stars,” she told EW exclusively at a party hosted by Entertainment Tonight. “ But everybody was just as nervous as I was. They are not dancers, really, so it made me feel a lot more comfortable. It was like my redemption for Dancing with the Stars. It was like, you know what? I am not going to be nervous, it is not going to steal my excitement and my joy. I am doing this. It was so fun. Major adrenaline.”
In fact, performing alongside the likes of Fey, Jon Hamm and Joel McHale made Gosselin think that maybe there’s more to this Hollywood thing than just doing reality shows. “Doing that little part in the skit was so amazing for me, being around so many wonderful actors. I so want to give it a try!” Gosselin said. “I think it is so fun to be somebody else, to get out of me and be somebody else.”
Going into Emmy season, Gosselin said she was just hoping that someone would give her Emmy tickets. “Then my manager called me and said, `well actually…’ and I was like oh my gosh! It was Jimmy Fallon’s personal invitation to have me in it. I love him. I so love him. It was a lot of fun, the most fun thing I have done in so long.”

she’s delusional. she has zero acting talent and does she really think she’d be anymore than a high paid freakshow if she acted? if she’s okay with being the laughingstock of the film industry now in addition to giving a bad name to single mothers and becoming one of the worst people in the history of reality television, then it’s all on her. i hope she makes enough money for her children’s therapy bills.

You are exactly right. She makes $250,ooo an episode for Kate&8 and apparently that’s not enough for her to support her and her kids. I guess some people don’t care about her going on national television and lying saying she doesn’t have enough money for her bills because Jon took it. But she somehow still had her nannies, and her cooks, and her security, and her spas, and her million dollar home. Mark my words. She and her boyfriend Steve will come out and say they are dating and it just all of a sudden happened. RIGHT! This woman should have been at the emmy’s as much as I should have been there.

I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again – people who read about somebody they hate and then take the time to write about how much they hate her are STUPID! If you don’t think she’s newsworthy then why read about it and comment about it – it just makes you look even more pathetic if that’s possible.

Because she was on Dancing With The Stars, which is a reality show featured in the Reality section of the Emmys. That’s probably why all those other people from Dancing With The Stars were there too.

Josie, even Jon admitted he made up the rumor about Kate and her bodyguard. There has never been anything between them. And I’ll admit I enjoy the kids. But she did seem like a glaring mistake in a showbiz event.
