Emmy Video: As the 'Lost' boys say goodbye, Damon Lindelof puts the blame on Carlton Cuse

For me, the Emmys meant a paid vacation to L.A. and a chance to score as much swag as I could fit into a carry-on. Read the full post.

Whether or not you loved or hated the ending of LOST is your right to do so. I for one have been a fan from the beginning and enjoyed every minute of it and have all 6 DVD’s so I can indulge myself whenever I want to re-visit the characters and the story that made LOST so great. What I can’t understand is why the voters failed to recognize an innovative and thought provoking series over a “soap opera” set in the 60′s. I cannot say that Matthew Fox was robbed because I did not see the other gentlemens’ performances. However, not recognizing LOST as the best drama on TV and instead giving raves to more formulaic and predictable television just encourages more of the same.

To be fair, Mad Men is an exquisitely done show.

And I say that as a total and geektastic “Lost” fan.

A question comes to me every time I read someone didn’t like the finale of ‘Lost’: How would you have liked it to end? I loved the finale because, for me, it would have sucked if these people have never met up again. Everyone dies at some point and I love the show for giving these characters unified closure. If each character’s death had been the end of them and the writer’s went the route of explaining more island mythology, I would have forever wondered what became of the connections and love these people shared.

Lost WAS robbed. O’Quinn/Emerson WERE robbed. Matthew Fox WAS robbed. end of story. Lost was one of the best shows of the last years, it deserved so much more. And you may or may not like the ending, but that happens with every other series finale. If you DON’T understand the finale, you have some serious problems.

Explain it then genius. Explain why we saw the island sunk at the beginning of the season since this was purgatory from Jack’s point of view when on the plane he didn’t even know he was in purgatory yet. Explain why the nuclear bomb that went off didnt do anything but knock Kate into a tree. Explain how Desmond could enter Jack’s purgatory when Jack wasn’t dead yet and have his current mind to where he thought he needed to make people in Jack’s purgatory to wake up and remember the island junk in order to be redeemed.

You can’t? Big shock since none of it made a **** bit of sense.

you have zero imagination. its a tv show. people enjoyed it. let them enjoy it.

It still amazes me how stupid all of you haters are. Lost was the best show in the history of television and the finale was a masterpiece. It was indeed robbed in not getting awards and because of such it makes the entire awards show just a joke. Lost continuously had better ratings than most things on television and the person above who thinks it was canceled is just a complete idiot.

Back to the haters, is the finale really that hard for you to understand? I’m sick of people claiming they were in love with the show all along until season 6 or until the finale. If you truly loved the show that long then you would love the finale as well because they designed the finale to wrap the show in a meaningful way for the characters of the show and the viewers. Also, season 6 was a great season in itself and did an amazing job wrapping up the greatest series of all time.

I don’t know what there is not to like about the show…is it the great characters you people don’t like? Or maybe you don’t like the creativity? Or perhaps you just don’t like the magnificent writing and plot of the show? Whatever the case, just go take your medication because you obviously need it.

well the fact that Lost DVD sales were at the top says quite a bit more than the haters who post the same stuff over and over and over..
with nothing much added to the over all dialogue except the same tired observations.
Quick now….name the tv drama (without google by the way) that won the Emmy the year Joss Wedon penned and directed “Hush” from the fourth season of BTVS.
Did a show resonant…does it last?
Is it still being talked about?
The West Wing won emmy after emmy…but I don’t see anyone talking about “Two Cathedrals” stellar season finale that it was..years later.

They got what they deserved nothing. The only reason they put that epilogue in the boxed set was to con people into buying it and keep their snouts in the trough.

Henry Winkler, don’t flatter yourself, you’ll be forgotten long before him.

    Worst cheesey, trite ending possible.

I hope all their careers plummet downhill from now on.
