Welcome back to TV, Bubbles! EW has obtained this exclusive first look of Andre Royo – best known as Bubbles from HBO’s The Wire - in the premiere episode of Fringe that airs Sept. 23. In the episode, Royo plays Henry, a taxi driver that Olivia (Anna Torv) encounters as she fights to find her way home. The Ausiello Files first broke news about Royo joining the show in July.

    Best Show Ever!

This is a great show. I hope everyone has a great Holiday Weekend.

      • Really Jersey Jeff

Amazing, I even agree with the dude that usurped my long time nickname.

  • Amanda B.

    Thanks for posting, Lynette.

    Which Olivia is that?

    • Derek

“Olivia (Anna Torv) encounters as she fights to find her way home.”

      The real Olivia, obviously.

  • Josh

Correct me if I am wrong, but is that not Faux-Olivia?

  • Anjali

    This is OUR Olivia!

    LOVE FRINGE!! Best show ever!!!!

  • Derek

Can’t wait til Fringe comes back!

  • Zombie Jesus

    Need….John….Noble….Warehouse 13…..not cutting….it…..

    • Gwen

Aw, c’mon! “Warehouse 13″ has kept us happy all summer while we wait for “Fringe” to return!

  • Anonymous

    AHH! can’t wait!!!

  • B-Olivia

    Fringe rocks!

  • Dwigt

How many actors from “The Wire” will get a part on “Fringe”? Lance Reddick, Chris Bauer (Frank Sobotka), Gbenga Akinnagbe (Chris Partlow), now AndrĂ© Royo, and I’m pretty sure there are others…

    • barrett909

      Lance Reddick is a journeyman…

      OZ, Lost, The Wire, Fringe…

It seems like all actors have either been on Lost, Deadwood, OZ or a Law and Order.

      • Antonio

Bubbles also appeared in the nonsensical season 3 of Heores. Glad he will be on Fringe.

      • Ana

Tom Fontana (Oz, Homicide: LOTS) and Dick Wolfe (L&O) are really good friends hence all the crossover there. I think JJ Abrams must have been a fan of Oz because he seems to cast a lot from that show.

      • Give Me Walter

@Antonio, thank you for using one of my favorite words, nonsensical. Second only to phantasmagorical.

    • topoopon

Wasn’t Jim True-Frost in a small role? I believe he died pretty fast.

      • Alex

Yeah! I was stoked when I saw him. He played the guy whose body became fused with his alternate body when the two worlds collided. Awesome bit of SFX, if I may say.

  • T

    20 more days!!!!!!!!!!

    • Jersey Jeff

      Now 19

  • Patrice

In a perfect world legend of the seeker would come back too. I am missing my favorite mord-sith very badly!!

  • Rogerson Shepherd

I am missing Walter. The amount of emotion John Noble can put into his face without speaking, and using only micro expressions, is incredible!
The man takes me from laughter to tears in a second, just about every week.
What an actor! I can’t wait for the new season.
As a jaded 40 something it has been a very long time since I have felt this way about TV!
And now I get 2 Walters! (Of course the lovely Anna Torv brings her own charms too!)
    Hurry Up.

  • Kc

    Yay! Bubbles!

If I was Ann Torv I would shoot my hairstylist on the show that is one awe fol colour

    • Anonymous

Really susannah? i actually like it a lot

    • P Kelley

Hopefully that’s not the color it will be on the actual show.

    • Psac

I think she looks really good in that pic. (I’m male, so I know nothing about hair colors…)

      • m.

i co-signe. Prefer dark haired Anna. (i’m also male and don’t know nothing about hair colors …)
