Sources confirm to me exclusively that two of Peaks‘ most iconic faces, Sheryl Lee (Laura/Maddy) and Sherilyn Fenn (Audrey), will appear in the episode alongside previously announced guest star Dana Ashbrook (Bobby). All three will play residents of Dual Spires (get it?), a quirky Northern California town that has been rocked by the death of a high school student.
But wait, there’s more…
Peaks‘ enigmatic Log Lady, Catherine Coulson, has signed on to make a cameo as—get this—the mysterious Woman with Wood, and Ray Wise (Leland) will reprise his season 4 Psych role as Father Westley. Also popping up in cameos will be Peaks alums Lenny Von Dohlen (a.k.a. agoraphobic horticulturist Harold) and Robyn Lively (a.k.a. seductress Lana).
The episode—co-written by self-professed Peaks addict Roday—will air during Psych‘s fall run. The show’s summer finale airs tomorrow night.

Never watched Psych, never even heard of it…but Twin Peaks homage with actors…oh yes. I WILL be watching.
Ditto! Paging Kyle McLachlan…where are you?!
Yea-where is Kyle??
Kyle is still on Desperate Housewives as “Orson” …. Bree’s wheelchair bound husband.
The only thing that could be better is the dancing backwards-talking midget.
Oh man, Psych is a GREAT show. Incredibly funny and charismatic leads, silly fun entertainment with moments of real emotional depth, awesome references and homages to beloved 80s and 90s pop culture…it’s so much fun, and it’s got a pretty unique feel that hasn’t resonated with every viewer *coughKenTucker* but it has become a favorite TV show in my household. (No disrespect, KT, I totally get your perspective.)
I completely agree. No show on TV is as fun as this one.
I never watched Psych either until a couple of weeks ago with guest stars William Devane(Peters) & Carl Weathers(Boone) who played the older version of Shawn & Gus. They were hysterical and had great chemistry. I laughed through the whole episode and now have become a fan (thank goodness for On Demand). I would actually watch a spin off of Devane & Weathers.
I love Psych, but don’t particularly care for James Roday as a writer. He wrote the Hitchcock episode, which wasn’t funny at all, so I worry about the Twin Peaks episode. You can’t just make obscure references, you have to make them funny. I think they’ve gotten a little lazy in their writer’s room–if I didn’t want “funny” I would just watch The Mentalist. The show has been more cute than funny for a couple of seasons, I guess. I’m also unhappy with how they replaced the original younger Shawn mid-season.
This may be the thing that gets me to watch Psych. It always looked cute and clever, another quality USA original (the only network that does anything quality or original lately), I just never got into it.
FX has way better original programming than USA. Sons of Anarchy, Louie, the League, Always Sunny, Justified….
Psych is a GREAT fun show. Simple premise, good writing, great chemistry. Definitely worth picking it up! I can’t wait for this episode as a long time Twin Peaks fan…
I’m SO excited for this.
AWESOME!!!
Never got into Twin Peaks when it was on, but I love Psych, have since day one. So I’ll be watching regardless of what they do.
LOVED TWIN PEAKS! LOVE PSYCH!
CANNOT WAIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yes, I’m excited.
There goes their budget for the year, but it’s money well spent.
this show is too under-rated.
It is WWWWWAAAAYYYYYY too under-rated!
I always have to watch it twice because the first time I get caught up in the show and forget to look for the pineapple.
Haha.
I demand a cherry stem tying contest between sean and gus
‘This must be where pies go when they die’
So freaking cool to see the gang back together! Now if only they could get a Twin Peaks sequel in the works with Lynch on board.
never watched Psych, but i am SO THERE.
I’m sure we will get an unwanted, uninspired remake of “Twin Peaks” at some point…
I have never cared either way for this show but both now…ohmy! Oh my! I so can not wait for this!
Thanks for the Psych scoop!!! This show needs more attention–it rocks!!!
this scoop is made of awesome.
