This is a show that has taken the elements of a tragic heroes journey and the epic qualities of mythology itself. It has taken Christian beliefs seriously for the purposes of the show’s plot. It’s not anti- christian. And it does have an element of the real enigma of God and His existence.
They showed the demons as lying minions of the pit, and angels as true warriors. Say what you will about Supernatural, but apparently the writers of this show read the Bible more than you.

BTW I am a Christian and youth leader. SPN has some un-Christian ideas but it makes for great discussion afterwards. Not just the Christian/Apocalypse aspects, but the tough choices the characters have to make too. Maybe Jeremy you should examine your own heart first. One reason I like this show is that it certainly gets people talking about religion and God and redemption and forgiveness and the fact that so much evil exists that we need to resist. I don’t think it goes against Christianity at all. i think in fact its attitude fits with the Old Testament wrath of God kind of well. In any case, many people have seen Christianity differently. After all, Catholics think that all Episcopalians are going to Hell, and Baptists think that Jehova’s Witnesses are going to Hell…so unless you personally talk to angels(and you DON”T) Just keep your own opinion, and let others see their own.

Honestly. I am a HUGE Christian, but I don’t see anything bad coming out of being a fan of a little t.v. show. No one is going to Hell for it.
