The comedy legend’s multi-episode arc, I’ve learned exclusively, will kick off in November January. And I’m sure I am far from the only one anticipating fireworks between Mother Cuddy and her new potential son-in-law. (“You hurt my daughter,” I can just hear her saying, “I castrate you.”)
Plus, Bergen’s gig, her first on the tube since Boston Legal closed up shop in 2008, seems likely to give Lisa Edelstein the kind of holy-smoke material that wins Emmys. (Please, please, please, please… ) It probably won’t hurt that Bergen herself already has five of ‘em!

ITA Candy Bergen is an EXCELLENT actress and I’m looking forward to seeing her interact with Cuddy and House and learning more about Cuddy’s background. This season is going to be so good I think. Quite rich and intrinsically the same while covering new territory for House as a character.

Looks like it’s just me who thinks they look nothing alike. Pardon the racist like comments, but to me Bergen looks more WASPy and Edelstein more ethnic (of Italian, Greek or other darkkinned descent)
Candice’s real life daughter is brunette and actually looks a little like Cuddy. Cuddy probably takes after her father.
Actually if you’ve ever seen LE’s mother she is not unlike CB.
