Exclusive: John Schneider joins 'Desperate Housewives' as B.A.G.'s pop

It looks like things are getting serious between Desperate Housewives and Brian Austin Green: The ABC soap is giving his newbie character a family.

Sources confirm to me exclusively that Housewives boss Marc Cherry has tapped John Schneider to play the father of Green’s Bree-crushing contractor, Keith.

I’m told Schneider will appear in multiple episodes, beginning with this season’s seventh.

Housewives kicks off its seventh season on Sept. 26.

Ok, so if Schneider and Austin Green are going to Desperate Housewives then… can Smallville borrow Teri Hatcher for ONE episode? That would be AWESOME

    • mayiya

Totally Agree! We want Teri on Smallville!!

      • Michelle

If they did like a flash-forward episode and had her as Lois…that would be awesome! Paging Dean Cain…LOL

      • fdf

LOL PLEASE HAVE TERI HATCHER ON SMALLVILLE.

I love how Desperate Housewives is casting Smallville actors now.. =P First BAG, now John Schneider..

      • Joel

I actually think of Brian Austin Green as a Terminator actor, rather than a Smallville actor, as he was only in 3 episodes of Smallville but was in most of the first and the whole second season of Terminator: Sarah Connor Chronicles

    • Michael

Oh man, so agree with you! Teri in Smallville as villain would be awesome ;)

    • Michelle

WORD! They could bring back Dean Cain’s villain from season 7 (he didn’t die, after all) and it could be a Lois and Clark reunion! That would be AWESOME.

      • zahadum

cute idea, except it would take the focus off the main Lois and Clark relationship. Does anyone see Teri Hatcher, star of her own show, guesting on a lower profile show where the popular opinion is Erica Durance’s Lois is better than hers?

    • Nerwen Aldarion

      YES!!!! That sounds great!!!

    • Lere

We want Teri Hatcher in Smallville!!! She could be Ella Lane ghost or something XD

    • Derek Reese Forever

Brian Austin Green was magnificent as Derek Reese and will forever be a Terminator more than Christian Bale in my opinion.

If they make another film, I hope he guest stars somehow. I know the TV show is different from the films but somehow please.

Terminator: Sarah Connor Chronicles fans pray the show will return sometime soon. We are still fighting for our show.

Just goes to show how solid an actor Brian Austin Green has become for Smallville fans to also acknowledge his talent. I’m happy for him.

I want to see him back on Smallville but most importantly on TSCC.

If only a film about The Reese Brothers was made.

Desperate Housewives you are lucky to have him. I hope he makes new hardcore fans from this show too.

JS is a legend and looking forward to father and son relationship. I hope it somehow involves Paul’s character too.

  • Melanie

Oh he’s a DILF. BAG and JS mmm…

    • donna

      yum yum dilf sandwich

    • Jenn

I so agree :) John was so nasty and sexy during his recent stint on Leverage. It was kind of nice to see that side of him. I was already excited to have BAG on DH now to add JS, oy vey!!!

      • Lois Stinks!

Ha! I always called someone like that a “FILF”!

  • Rach

GEEZ. 2 more actors from a Superman-universe shows on Desperate Housewives. They’ve built up quite the little collection for themselves over the years.

I doubt Clark Kent would be pleased to find out Metallo’s his step brother, lol.

    • Metallo is Villian

Hahaha so true, what’s the point of fighting each other when their step brothers.

I really wish Brian Austin Green could come back as Metallo though for the final season of Smallville.

Brian Austin Green must be doing a great job as Keith Watson for Desperate Housewives to create a family around him exciting stuff can’t wait.

His father is pretty hot too.

  • Lil Cee

    Bring Teri to Smallville!!!!

  • Sara

Yes! Yes! Yes! John Schneider was my first crush ever–I get so excited whenever he’s on TV.

    • JRE

      Me too <3

  • gah

sounds more like a bree love triangle.

  • STRWRSGRL

LOL Rach, but the more John Schneider the better…bring it on…can’t wait! YEE HAA

  • aussiedave

Can Terri H go to Smallville and stay there please ? Oh, Im sure they need a plumber in Smallville too !

  • db

    Still hot.

  • robinepowell

I like that, Teri on DH. After all Dean Cain was on Smallville, so why not make it a set? ;)

  • Jonathan

    wow, pretty awesome casting

  • Vanny

Lovely! Love John Schneider… ! Marc Cherry – nice one dude!

  • giancarlo

Yeah…love John Schneider! Make him a series regular, please!!! Maybe he could come out of the closet, and become Andrew’s daddy-bear…

  • dee123

At least on Desperate Housewives they will act with an audience watching them.

  • Serena

The REAL B.A.G. will take offense at taking his name in vain and smite thee Ausiello!
