Those smokin’ vampires definitely lured in more viewers to HBO this summer. For its third season, True Blood averaged a series high gross audience (which includes DVR playbacks and HBO On Demand) of 12.7 million viewers. Sunday’s season finale lured 5.4 million viewers at 9 p.m. (60,000 viewers off from last week’s series high) and added another 1.1 million viewers during the 11:30 p.m. replay.
Meanwhile, the finales for Hung and Entourage brought in 2.3 and 2.7 million viewers, respectively. For the season, Hung and Entourage have average gross audiences of 6.6 and 7.7 million viewers.

Does it really take two writers to create this stuff?
If you learned how to read, you would see “by Lynette Rice”. One person. Nicole and Lynette both cover “The Hollywood Insider” but only one person actually wrote this article.
i wonder how true blood will do next year now that the novelty is wearing off a little and the finale seemed to have lots of people disappointed.
How do you determine the “novelty” has worn off? The show had its series high in total viewers literally two episodes ago.
Well… considering the only other vamp shows out there are The Vampire Diaries & The Gates, etc… I’m sure True Blood will do just fine cuz its definately the cream of the crop
I love True Blood! The best cast on television!
Kudos to Entourage for having a resurgent season after two years of poop.
