You’re looking at the second official group photo for the Fox thriller’s third season (here’s the first), which premieres next Thursday. Two key observations: Bolivia appears to have rejoined Walternate in Overthereland, and Astrid is once again throwing some ‘tude around. Not sure what her deal is, but I like it! Thoughts? Opinions? Amazing!!! I like the background of the other side. Can’t wait for this to start. We need to get people to watch this jaunt.
I like this shot a lot more than the first, that one looked too much like a CSI pic. At least there’s a little mystery here.
Absolutely agree, FRINGE is a creative show and did not deserve a pic relating it to a snoozefest like CSI.
I am hoping for something on the order of only 16 episodes – that way we only get the writers’ best work, and hopefully Broyles will once again sing.
So cool to see the 3 supporting characters as prominent as the 3 mains. They’re kinda divided into 2 groups, aren’t they?
omg, i can’t wait!!! this is the greatest show on tv. im so stressed out during every episode though because im so scared its gonna get cancelled. thank god for season 3!!!!!

The shadow behind Peter has a hat on.
I believe the shadow is of an Observer.
Yeah, what is up with that? It’s also in the first picture, and its always behind Peter. Are they trying to tell us something? Could there be another Peternate somewhere that’s joining the show?
Is the Observer behind Peter b/c he’s protecting him?
Is he watching over him b/c he knows the real Olivia is in Overthereland?

I think you are right Erik. That guy Walter meets in the coffee shop is usually dressed in a 60s suit with a hat. They are “shadowlike” – watching over EVERYTHING – and really EVERYBODY. They aren’t supposed to “protect” – just watch. That was the whole theme of one show – what a terrible price the observer paid for choosing to involve himself with one particular person’s fate.
The hat is on the alter-Broyles, who wore one in the other universe.
You really have to find something different to call her than the name of a south american country. That is the lamest and least witty version of naming alternate olivia I’ve seen on the internet. It’s more like a typo than a nickname. how about No-liva? or Alt-ivia? God, i’d even prefer something competely straightforward like “Bad Olivia” or Olivia from the Alternate Universe”. “Bolivia” is just stupid.
I think Faux-livia is the best I have seen.

Bolivia is short for Bad Olivia? I was wondering about that. Yes. That’s pretty stupid and unfunny. Especially since I’ve read somewhere that the alt-folks aren’t necessarily “bad.” Just “different” from our heroes. I vastly prefer Faux-livia! Can’t remember who coined that? Was is Tucker?

I don’t think that’s necessarily Peter’s shadow (it’s far too small). I just think it’s A shadow.
K, I’m pretty sure that the Olivia we see in the foreground is Bolivia, and the one with Walternate is our Olivia, seeing as the last time we saw her was with brown hair.

Who’s to say that there is a faux-anything? Which reality is the “real” reality? Why isn’t the parallel reality the real one? Just ‘cuz we like our brown-haired Olivia and the characters on this plane doesn’t mean that the ones in the alternate reality aren’t every bit as capable, nice and entitled. Just a different reality. Different rules.
