I’m not sure why, but I can’t get enough of CBS’ super-fun new music video for Hawaii Five-O. Maybe it’s the panoramic shots of Hawaii. Maybe it’s the footage from the awesome pilot. Or maybe it’s the fact that said video features the greatest college marching band in history. Regardless, an exclusive first look at the spirited clip—which boasts cameos by Five-O costars Daniel Dae Kim and Grace Park—is after the jump!

What a blast. I can’t wait. This theme always sounds great when done big band style. Extra kudos to Ausiello. What did you do in the band. My guess would be trumpet.

I think I just had a flashback to 1977 and a high school marching band competition! Can’t wait to see this show. Looking forward to seeing Daniel Dae Kim again each week.

USC marching band just happened to be in Hawaii. Because the season opener for USC and University of Hawaii NCAA football was in Hawaii.

If I may, to put it in perspective, I believe the reference to the USC Marching Band being the greatest in history is Mr. Ausiello’s way of showing his level of school spirit for his college; or at the very least , the band he was part of!!I enjoyed it.

ditto! Love this video! Not surprised that the Spirit of Troy was chosen for this promo. I mean they always get chosen to do professional performances(Grammy’s, Glee, etc) since they are the best college band in America. Fight on!

I watched Hawaii 5-O last evening. Good show but why try to make a remake that has no connection to the original?? Even Kauno had a sex change for gosh sakes!! With another name it would have been worth watching on its own merit.
I actually liked the CBS “on the scene” clip of the theme being recorded for the series better than this clip.
I think the Ventures may have competion for the theme song. Be there! Aloha!
