Fringe is the new Lost.
nah, fringe is fringe.
Oh, bravo. Best response to this that I’ve seen. <3
Word. Fringe is Fringe. Can`t wait for Season 3 and now I`m totally obsessed with what “Walternate can conceivably turn over a card that you didn’t see coming” could mean.
I have always watched Fringe in real time and I hope it can pull in new viewers. I wouldn’t want it to get cancelled. It’s unique and special in its own way That would royally suck, because it is a great TV series. I love that the alt-world is full of cool, technological advancements and I want to see more of that, as well as how their society may be impacted by this. And the historical differences are cool to see also. Well, and it doesn’t hurt to have such fine characters/actors. And I guess the banana split may symbolize Walter’s mind! Poor, poor Walter.
I always watch Fringe in real-time too! All other Thursday shows get passed up for my Fringe time.
I have to come back here one more time and correct my statement. I should have used “usually” instead of ” have always” in my first sentence, because I remember I wasn’t able to watch the finale of last season live. I’m such a doof sometimes!
I read an article that the producers of Fringe believe that if *fingers crossed* it doesn’t get cancelled, they would hope to end it in season 6. I would prefer if it never ended, but i at least hope Fox doesnt cancel it so we can see the full story
I hope so too. After watching Fringe so freely, I am still unsure if I want to get completely obsessed about it like I did with Lost. I only started towards the end of last season to post a few comments at KT’s recap. Does anyone know what I’m saying? I can’t help it. It is just the way I am. Lol.
LOST is better.
LOST is over.
To Chris above, of course Lost is better. It is the best show ever in my opinion. But as Anonymous states here, Lost is over.
Bogus, Chris… Lost WAS better, seasons 1-4. Season 5 was shaky but still pretty good, and season 6 just laid a big steaming pile of you know what. It killed the show in terms of rerun value for me, but Fringe seems unlikely to abandon science for spirtual claptrap so I’ll stick with that.
And oh, yes. Lost is OVER.
I think that LOST had better characters. In terms of plot, Fringe develops mysteries and mythology better. I loved LOST but it kind of dropped the ball on the mythos.
I think Fringe’s characters are just as good as Lost’s characters. It would be hard to find another person like Walter Bishop anywhere on TV.
@Anonymous I’m not saying Fringe characters aren’t good but some of them are just not written well enough in my opinion. I guess we’re just gonna have to agree to disagree on this point.
Yes, Walter is a great character, but Lost had a huge ensemble. The writers of Lost did a tremendous job with those characters. They went pretty deep. Maybe Fringe is withholding on character development a little, because there are so few characters and a lot more story to go.
Does anyone outside of a few nerds watch this? I mean, it is one of Fox’s lowest-rated series. Pacey must have made some sort of deal with the devil – he’s the most wooden thing on TV.
please stop commenting on things you dont watch. also please stop having terrible opinions. thanks!
Well, he’s not the best actor on the show but i wouldn’t call him “wooden.” i feel like he underperforms or that he could do better, especially during last season’s peter centric “Northwest Passage.”
I thought he was pitch perfect in that ep. And since I’m much closer in age to John Noble, no, I don’t have a crush on Pacey.
I’m glad you were able to enjoy that ep. Maybe it was the writing but I just felt Jackson’s performance was underwhelming. I mean, it wasn’t bad but I guess I was expecting more since Peter was reacting to his abduction.
Wow, its Josh’s fault that people keep comparing him to John Noble. Since everyone says Walter is the best thing since sliced bread, why should Josh do better. His character is ignored anyways because of Walter.
Since you don’t watch it, how can you judge Jackson’s current acting chops?
Well, “everybody” watched LOST and look how crappy THAT turned out. Audience size is not an accurate measure of quality.
In the new TV Guide, they said that the First People (mentioned in the AU red version of the opening credits) are going to play a part. And we may have already seen some of them.
i know! and since the article stated that the First People aren’t the observers, I have no idea who they could be. Maybe Sam Weiss is one?
Maybe that’s why he apparently knows so much…?
I never saw Joshua Jackson in anything before this (so I have no idea who Pacey is) but I think he’s an understated, quality actor who in many ways holds the show together. Although his part is sometimes severely underwritten.
Pacey=Dawson’s Creek, a teen show around the same time as the first 90210.
My sentiments exactly.
I’m sorry, I can’t remember everything about last season but…does walternate say that the universe he wants to destroy is “ours”? I’ve had a crazy idea thinking about the sacrifices that a man can do to protect his son…and the last spoilers about Walternate not being the “bad” one.
Bah, delete that theory XD
Could you please post the one about rich women looking for men. Thats my favorite
They posted it over on the Mer/Der story
I just loved your post
