yeah, with disney up joe jonas’s ass they’re definitely not gonna book him for a gay character. too bad, though.

  • Ashely

Yes, Asher Book is my pick. When I saw him on parenthood I was like whoa who is that. I usually don’t like younger men but I would make an exception but there only a 5 year difference

If he wasn’t in his early 30s I would love to see Gavin Creel as Kurt’s bf. He is super talented and has a great voice. I really think we need to go with an unknown in the role and need to not have a straight guy try and play gay. That just doesn’t work and will piss people off. It was bad enough we had Jonathan Groff play a straight guy, lol.

Why does it “piss people off”? The only people it pisses off are writers from Newsweek. Eric McCormack from “Will and Grace” is straight and played gay, no up roar over that. Neil Patrick Harris plays a straight man-whore on his show, no one is boycotting HIMYM. And the list goes on…..it’s called “ACTING” for a reason. It’s very closed minded of you and not to mention presumptuous of you to think it would bother someone if a straight actor was cast, just like it didn’t bother me that Jonathan Groff was cast as a straight guy. Maybe it bothers YOU but luckily you don’t speak for all of us.

Please please please MATT DOYLE. Keep the Spring Awakening love going.

Honestly, I would really love to see some out of the box casting i.e. Kurt gets a non-white boyfriend. Everything mentioned so far has been fairly bland and safe.

    • T

      Totally.

  • Kyle

Casting Zac Efron is something ‘Glee’ would do. Whydaf_cnot?

  • Lia

If they ever cast/sing anything to do with a Jonas Bros. I’m abandoning ship.

Asher might not be so bad. But it’d be nice if they cast an actual young gay actor.

  • Teresa

Of course, if we’re looking at the Starkid boys, any one of them might work. Joe Walker would make an intense boyfriend. Tyler Brunsman would be an extremely handsome boyfriend (and he’s probably got the best Glee-type voice of the group), Corey Dorris and Brian Rosenthal both have great voices, too.

If I were casting, I wouldn’t want to look for a boy with a high voice. I’d look for someone with a deeper tone. I think that would make any love songs sound better.

  • Jace

I’m going with Asher. He dances, sings and acts. Plus, he’s hot.

  • Sara

No no no. I don’t want someone that has been in previous movies or shows. Get an unknown! They have done so well with that so far, why stop now??

  • dani

i would LOVE to see aaron tveit on glee. they considered him for finn very briefly but decided he was too abercrombie model looking. he can sing and act though
