'Chuck' preview: Is that a wedding ring I see?

Tags: , , News, Scoop

chuckImage Credit: Greg Gayne/NBCOkay, so Chuck‘s season 4 premiere didn’t break any ratings records last night. I’m disappointed, but I’m choosing to look on the bright side: The opener attracted a bigger audience than the season 3 finale—and it did so with virtually zero advance promotion. Yep, someone’s drinking from the glass that’s half full today. Anyhoo, for those of you who bailed on Monday’s episode, you not only missed one of the show’s most suspenseful, hilarious, and all-around super-fun episodes ever, you robbed yourself of a spoiltacular sneak peek at the rest of the season. Lucky for you, I just got my hands on the latter and I’m sharing it with you below. You can thank me in the comments section.

DVR. I will watch it.. just not when it’s first broadcast! :)

    • Eugene

No don’t do that. help the ratings so this awesome show can stay around. Watch it live not on DVR or the computer the next day

      • Guest

I don’t think watching it live means anything unless you have a Nielsen box.

      • Stip

Watching it the next day on DVR is probably BETTER than watching it live if your not a Nielsen household. They track DVR viewings.

      • thin

DVR tracking is also done by Nielsen. If you haven’t had them come and install equipment in your DVR, it’s not being tracked any more than your TV watching.

      • Gerald

It’s probably best to watch it on NBC.com if you aren’t part of a Nielsen family.

      • jen

Actually, the cable companies all do track have the ability to track with you DVR cable box. they may not be in the neilsen’s numbers, but they are still used, and a lot of networks look at them. So watch the show LIVE.

      • Sara

While watching live is tracked, DVR viewing is counted and noticed by networks and cable companies as long as it is viewed within 7 days of the air date. This is also true for Nielsen.

      • SaMM

I do watch it when it 1st broadcasts (can’t wait), but if you’re not a Nielson family (those odd people who apparently like that dancing show I’ve never seen), how would they know?

  • JB Sucks

Wow dude….. do you like being a d*** head for fun?

  • Baz Reid

Were 2 episodes from the finale in the united kingdom, i rekon chuck has a huge cult following over here!!

    • Anita

We love Chuck here in the UK :)

  • Jerri

They better NOT kill Casey off!

    • Ali

He opened his eyes at the last min. so he more than likely was just temporarily paralyzed. Maybe they’ll kill “John Casey” off and he’ll take on another identity and be free of the military and NSA ties and able to just be on Team Bartowski?

      • cody

Maybe he did get killed off and morgan was just confessing to casey’s bodey and he imagined his reaction?

      • Elizabeth

I’m thinking it was part of a mission for Casey to pretend to be dead. But I don’t know why Morgan would confess just then.

    • Ali

But, I agree with you, “if” AB’s character is killed off, I’m gone.

    • UpChuck

Casey steals the show! kill off beckman if anyone, but I love the whole team! Chuck fever!!!

  • Lê Scalia

I live in Brazil, so I can’t help with the rating.. :/ but Chuck is my favorite show nowadays.. thanks, Ausiello! :)

    • Kendra

Yep, I live in South Korea, so I can’t help with the ratings, but I’m watching every week!

  • MKS

WHAT WHAT WHAT. I can’t believe I had to miss it! No thanks to grad school class during that time…

I can’t wait to see the encounter between Sarah and Mama Bartowski.

    • GimplyGump ☺

      it’s already on NBC.com or hulu.com

    • SaMM

Me too! Chuck just has to walk in on that one.

  • Andrea

@Jerri dude chill he even has his eyes open..don’t know why they would fake his death but I have an idea =)
but yeah this was a freaking AWESOME premiere! loved it! looking forward to the next episodes!

    • VJW

Actually, it was an “Awesome-less” premiere, but…

I loved it anyway. Morgan was completely annoying, but at least there was no Jeffster this week.

      • Jack

In most cases, I would agree with you – I tend to find Morgan annoying, but last night I thought he was just the right touch of awed partner/friend and useful ally.

      • Dakota

AT LEAST THERE WAS NO JEFFSTER?! THEY ARE AMAZING!

  • Hannah

Oh dear Chuck&Co how I have missed you and your super awesomeness :D Yay

    • @this

      oh yeah, Chuck me!!!!!

  • Jimmy

Thanks for the preview Michael. I thought that night’s episode was funny and was really impressed with the high quality guest stars and dramatic locations for the scenes.

  • Emily

“I must break you” – nuff said.

    • jason

“if he dies, he dies!” – awesome.

  • Jenni

The encounter between Sarah and Mama Bartowski worries me D:

  • SkippyJonJones

Chuck is a running sore, running from himself and society…and yet his scab will heal us all.

    • Bobby’s Robot

You said the same thing about Olivia on FRINGE and it wasn’t amusing or intriguing then either.

  • Sarah

Did anyone catch that Chuck’s interview was with Vandalay Industries last night? George Costanza shout-out!!!

    • Jennifer

I was SO hoping that Jason Alexander would be sitting on the other side of that desk! Loved it. :)

    • BeaAnn

Yes, I noticed!! That had me cracking up.

    • Aunt Bea

I agree. I caught that and I cracked up. Loved Seinfeld too.

  • comixchick

How great was it to see the original “Repo Man,” Harry Dean Stanton, taking the car? Awesome!

    • Jack

      Yes!!!

      • Jimmy

Awesome, I laughed so much at that.

    • SaMM

All he was missing was the music. Wb Harry Dean Stanton!

  • Kari

Love it. Sarah and Chuck forever ~ fingers crossed for a real proposal soon.
