The Wire actor—who makes a sensational first impression in this Thursday’s absolutely thrilling season 3 premiere—will return for a second episode later this fall, sources confirm to me exclusively.
In case you missed my previous two stories on this subject, Royo plays an “over there” cabdriver who original-flavor Olivia encounters as she fights to find her way home. Some of my favorite moments in the episode sprang from their interplay, so I’m not surprised producers are bringing him back.
Olivia is a running sore, running from herself and society. Yet in the end her scar will heal us all.

Andre Royo is a brilliant actor. He made Bubbles a major character, when I don’t think that was the original intention.
Yes! The ‘Fringe’ PTB are super-smart for snatching up some of the excellent actors from ‘The Wire.’ Since Michael K. Williams, Wendell Pierce, Clark Peters, and Idris Elba (not to mention Chris Bauer, Robert Wisdom, and Amy Ryan) are otherwise occupied, might I suggest they add Jim True-Frost, Aiden Gillen, or Seth Gilliam next?
Jim True-Frost already guested last year… he was the guy caught in the walls of the building when the other side and our universe got smushed together.
Yeah, Jim True-Frost was the poor bastard who had his own alternate’s head coming out of his stomach. Yeeecch.
Maybe he helps Olivia get home…

Yeah I agree. That they’re giving all this time to guests and supporting – people I couldn’t care less about – and knocking Josh’s time to nil is ridiculous. The show is about Olivia, Walter, and PETER. Not Olivia, Olivia, Olivia.
How about you don’t post spoilers like that on the front page of ew.com? Some of us like to watch shows and NOT know what’s going to happen.
I’ve complained about spoilers before on this site but your complaint is verging on the ridiculous side, this site talks about casting developments all the time, if that’s considered a spoiler for you then maybe you’re lurking around the wrong page buddy.
It’s just casting news, it’s not like they revealed that Bruce Willis was a ghost in The Sixth Sense. Or Soylent Green is people. Or that Rosebud was a sled. Or that Kate Winslet died from a botched abortion in Revolutionary Road. Those would be spoilers, casting news, not so much.
