The plot surrounding Kurt’s first boyfriend on Glee thickens: Actor-singer-songwriter Darren Criss—best known to TV audiences as Matt Dallas’ bro on Eastwick—has landed the much-talked-about new gay role on the Fox phenom.
But will he have eyes for Kurt? Maybe. Maybe not. Allow me to explain…
Per a Glee source, Criss’ character, Blaine—a cute and charismatic gay student from a rival Glee club named the Dalton Academy Warblers—will maintain a strictly platonic friendship with McKinley High’s most out and proud pupil. But could that change as the season progresses? Yes, it could.
Sounds to me like series creator Ryan Murphy is keeping his options open.
Ever since Murphy announced that Kurt would be getting a love interest in season 2, speculation about the identity of his suitor has run rampant. The casting of pretty boy Chord Overstreet led some to speculate that his quarterback character Sam would play that role, a theory Chris Colfer all but shot down when he informed us that there’s no sign of romantic tension between Sam and Kurt in the first four episodes. “Maybe it is too obvious,” he theorized. “Our writers have a way of avoiding the obvious and throwing curveballs.”

Darren is a great singer, anyone whose seen him in AVPM or AVPS or seen one of his youtube recordings or seen him live knows that. he had a bit of vabrato here but who cares.
I wouldn’t call this his best video, but I’ve heard others. He’s brilliant.
I will admit that wasn’t the best audition, but it’s very possible they had heard him via the musical where he pulls off some nice vocals. And I bet he had more personality than the majority of the people who audition. It’s not all about singing. Well, it shouldn’t be anyway… I don’t care much for the show but I support Darren if this piece of news is in fact true!

Uhmm, look for the Glee Live concert videos on Youtube. Cory M sings live just fine. I like Cory’s voice a lot. It has a kind of a rock vibe going on.

Okay, I admit that the audition wasn’t his best and he didn’t sound terribly good here but if you’ve ever seen AVPM or AVPS, you’d know that he has a TOTALLY AWESOME voice that makes him so supermegafoxyawesomehot that it doesn’t matter. This audition may not have shown the best of his abilities but he is HARRY FREAKING POTTER!! And besides, he is amazing. He doesn’t need a rocketship to get to Pigfarts because he can sing his way over

I found myself tearing up at that audition, I barely ever cry. It was insanely beautiful and Darren is obviously talented! So stuff you ‘Tom’ nobody cares for your opinion.
It was original and he improvised his way into my heart. I’ve seen him in AVPM and AVPS AND Little White Lie! He was amazing and he sings better than half the cast of Glee. So there.
