Is this what we have come to? Remaking shows? Are there no more “new” ideas? Hawaii Five-O, The Munsters… i’ve heard possibly “Dallas”…. no more remakes please!!!

    • fish eye no miko

“Dallas”? I don’t see a show about someone in the oil business that we’re supposed to like going over too well these days…

  • dee123

As stated before if this was on any other network is would be brilliant news, but seeing it on NBC….

  • Andrew

Bleh….can’t they just do a new original show? And whens Chuck getting its 22 eppy order

  • Willo

How much you want to be in three months they’ll be announcing Brad Garrett is playing Herman and Jerry Stiller is playing Grandpa?

  • Dave

I love Bryan Fuller, but I’d rather see another original idea from him. He’s one of the most creative people in the biz, so I’m kinda surprised/bummed that he’s going to do a remake. Although, I probably will watch.

  • Joe B.

I like Fuller but c’mon, can’t anyone come up with an original idea?

  • Ryan

Sorry, I’m not against remakes but Munsters turns me off. Same with Adams Family. Even Bryan Fuller can’t interest me in this. I’d rather see an original idea of his

I usually don’t like the idea of remaking tv shows from the past , I am more for something new and original , but ” The Munsters ” could be the exception , especially if del Toro is on board , as long as the remake stays in its original premise and not add some silly sexed up soap opera element for the young viewers . As for the role of Herman Munster , I see David Hyde Pierce , though the role calls for someone who is close to Fred Gwynne’s height . ( Not Brad Garrett , it would definitely be typecasting as someone pointed out )

    • Dave

David Hyde Pierce is way too small and scrawny to be Herman, a Frankenstein monster.

      • Tracy Murray

That was what I was thinking too , I was looking more towards personality and temperment than looks and height . Another thought came to mind was Mark McKinney from the Kids in the Hall , unfortunately he does not have the height to play a Frankenstein monster .

It will probably be wonderfully written and acted. The production values will most likely be out of this world. It may end up being one of the best and smartest new comedy series on television. Yep with all that behind it, I’m absolutely positive it will be canceled.

The Munsters and The Addams Family should keep coming back In many forms. Along as It’s done right.
We need both back on TV In all verisons.

ABSOLUTELY NO WAY will I watch it. The original can NOT be duplicated or improved.

  • Solstice Zero

How about they stop remaking stuff and make some original TV instead?
