Scoop: 'House' double date 'turns ugly'

Tags: , , News, Scoop

house-double-dateImage Credit: Ray Mickshaw/FoxThe highly anticipated double date-themed episode of House finally airs tonight, and I’ve got five words for you: House. Cuddy. Wilson. Sam. Go-Karting. If that sounds like a recipe for disaster, well, it’s probably because it is. Check out an exclusive preview—featuring clips from the episode and slightly spoilery interviews with Hugh Laurie, Lisa Edelstein, Robery Sean Leonard, and Cynthia Watros—after the jump!

    • Lisa

      at the end.

      • Real Jersey Jeff

Can’t wait for this show to end.

    • Ryan

that reminded me of one episode where the original team was there, house wanted to do a differential on a dead body, and Cameron says “you wanna treat dead?” then house goes “brahawhawhaw”

  • Jessica

I can’t see the video from France :’(

    • Kate

Can’t view it in the UK either :(

    • Fabienne

      Neither can I ! So frustrating ! C’ est pénible !

    • Cath

      C’est sur youtube ;)

    • Ace

For those who can’t it, you ain’t missing a thing. Unless of course you want to see more immaturity and charactors being out of character. No Thanks!~ There’s a hell of a lot better shows on TV than this sinking show.

      • EJ

So, you can’t handle the characters doing something fun? You want them to just be doctors in a hospital diagnosing patients for every single scene, 22 episodes a season? They’re not allowed to have fun?

      • Mary Louise Shumway

why are you on this site – go comment on a show you like

      • bacwood

Hey man, if you dont like it dont watch it.

      • Joe

Out of character? Do you want them to be boring, like real life doctors? Who would watch that? Hospitals are depressing in real life, who wants to watch depressing? And since when is TV supposed to be “life-like”? Isn’t that why we love TV?

      • Ace

@Backwood. You give good advice..and people ARE leaving this show in droves. It’s sad really. Once upon a time this show was still good, it was getting 12-15 mil people to watch weekly…now they can hardly get 10 mil to watch….and they’re going against the same competition they went against when they were getting the higher ratings. And don’t even bother blaming the drop in ratings on House being an old show either. NCIS, who also goes against DWTS and who happens to be a year older than House, is managing to pull in 18 mil viewers. Shocking what good writing can do for a show, isn’t?

      • howl

Ace I agree with you so much. I use to love this show but now they’re ruining the characters I came to love. They ARE out of character. They’re trying to give House a “happy ending” proving that even a bastard like House can find loooove!
First off, House and Cuddy go together like oil and water, and said oil is on fire. I wouldn’t mind House and Cuddy together nearly as much if they had stayed true to House’s character (mind you if they had they wouldn’t be together). I’m hoping this goes down in flames and hard. Just because you want to see House happy doesn’t mean he gets to be. That’s why I liked this show. Life isn’t all happy roses. Not everyone gets to ride of into the sunset in love.

      • Ricky

Sorry, but House is the number one show worldwide…beats CSI and NCIS and the rest by a healthy margin…just because not a lot of people in America watch it, doesn’t mean people elsewhere don’t. People in America are too wrapped up in stupid reality crap like that orange thing Snookie and some dumb girl who just happens to be the daughter of an ex-Alaskan politician dancing her way to fame…

    • vikki

try justin.tv you dont have to long in or anything just watch tv through it..

      • Lori

@howl I couldn’t agree more. They better burn the current scripts and get back to writing new entertaining medical mystery plots.

    • Tracy Murray

I can’t get the video in Canada , either .

  • Liz

Huddy can only get ugly, of course.

    • Misha

      It’s already there.

    • Ace

@EJ. Who said anything about them not having fun? They are 40-50 year old people. I don’t think it’s entertaining watching 40-50 year old people acting like a 17 year olds. But I guess TPTB have to dumb this show down enough to be entertaining for the age group that still watches this show.

      • Louise

You’re either saying that 40-50 year old people are too old to have any or are too dumb to be entertained by anyting except the banal. Personally, I’m not happy with the writing on the show this year, but not because they take the characters out and let them have some fun. It’s the Huddy and the poor writing in general. Criticize the show if you want, but not all of the fans of it are imbeciles. By the way, I’m 53.

      • Ace

Louise. Can you please point out to me where in my post I said that 40-50 year old couldn’t have fun. I can find it anywhere. While you’re at it, point out where I said 40-50 year olds were dumb. What I did say was that they are making the characters act like 17 year old. TPTB are dumbing down this once great show to appeal to their new fan base. The squeeing pre-teen fangirls.

      • Deb

Actually, I agree with Louise because when I read your post it seemed to me (and this is only my opinion) to imply that people 40-50 can’t have that type of fun and heaven forbid if they do they are not acting their age. I love go-carts, and like the characters, have a very competitive streak in me, so I would make the racing of those carts a competitive race if I was racing with them. So, if that makes me as acting as a 17 year old, so be it. You are only as old as you make yourself to be and I certainly don’t want to be an old, doddering middle-aged person who can’t have any fun in a competitive activity. Who makes the rules at what activities 40+ people can do and how they act doing them? I also was reading to say that you were implying that TPTB were having to dumb down the show to viewer who still watch this shows, of which I am btw 57. Or do viewers my age don’t count in their viewing audience? I most certainly am not a dumb person. I am a college graduate with honors, btw, who just happens to enjoy this program (I also must confess to having a love affair with the genius that is the highly awarded English actor Hugh Laurie). Sorry for the long post, but it is all said with good humor by someone who enjoys this program.

      • Ace

Deb. Do you have a reading comprehension problem?AGAIN. No Where In My Post Did I Say OLD PEOPLE Were DUMB!!!! I said TPTB have to dumb down this show to appeal to their squeeing teenage fanbase. Are YOU a squeeing teenager? If YOU are NOT then the dumbing down comment DOES NOT pertain to YOU!!, now does it?

      • Deb

Respectfully, it’s just how I was reading your post. I am only one person with one opinion. I guess we will just have to agree to disagree. To each his/her own opinion.

      • Deb

And, please, there was no need to shout to get your point across. I do have a little bit of less hearing now that I am doing this getting older thing, which btw is n fun, but please be kind and respect just one person’s own opinion as I was trying in the spirit of humor and kindness to respect yours.

      • Dicazi

I’m in that age range, and I still like roller coasters and other things like go-karts.

      • Meli
