Image Credit: Michael Ansell/NBCChuck boss Josh Schwartz wants to make one thing very clear about Timothy Dalton’s upcoming arc on the show: He’s not playing James Bond. Far from it, in fact.
“It’s not the kind of character you’d [expect] him to play,” Schwartz teases of the actor, who premieres in the Nov. 1 episode. “There’s nothing suave or debonair about him.”
Dalton’s alter ego shares a past with Chuck’s mom (Linda Hamilton), but Schwartz is reluctant to reveal the nature of their connection. “We want it to be a surprise,” he says.
Dalton is on board for a handful of episodes—a run that could be extended should NBC greenlight additional episodes of Chuck beyond the initial order of 13. Is Schwartz optimistic his underdog spy comedy will carry on? “NBC is really happy with it creatively,” he says. “This is Chuck. We never say die.”
Chuck is my household’s favorite show. Full season pick-up, please!

I love this is like the Little Show that Could. It keeps getting better and better, and I’m so glad to see it on the air still!
I really hope they continue. chuck is getting hardly any press time or advertisement. Its all about”The Event” or Some other new show that is getting close to getting axed. And since they brought back Big Mike. You can not stop the power!

This is awesome news. Chuck deserves a full season.
It really bothers me how this show always seems to be on the chopping block. Its incredibly entertaining… comedy, action, drama, good characters… Sarah in her undies every now and then.
How is this not a #1 show?

Time for a super crossover!!! Tennant is in the US filming Fright Night so it would be great for him to pop by and make a guest appearance. Dalton’s Time Lord didn’t have a TARDIS (or they wouldn’t have beeen stuck in the TimeLock that the Doctor put them in after the Time War. Unfortunately, the NerdHerd is NOT part of the Whoverse. I am afraid they are too young.

I am a huge fan of Chuck and can remember when Tom Baker played the good Doctor in the mid 70′s.
I think that they should make Dalton’s character the brother of Chuck’s dad. In the above picture he sort of has that same desheveled look that Chuck’s father had. I think that Chuck’s mom may have had an affair with him and maybe Ellie and Chuck have different fathers. Also, please NBC, don’t pull Chuck from the air, but please put it on at a less crowded time slot. I hate having to record it because I have the comedy shows on CBS and House on Fox to also record. I’m running out of t.v.’s here!
