Exclusive: 'Lost' star Perrineau finds 'Whole Truth'

harold-perrinueauImage Credit: Michael Kovac/FilmMagic.comFormer Lost castaway Harold Perrineau is returning to ABC—for one week anyway: The actor has booked a guest stint on The Whole Truth, sources confirm to me exclusively.

Perrineau will play Paul Braun, a psychic who leads the NYPD to the body of a young woman. This apparently isn’t the first time Braun has helped the police locate a dead body, but this is the first time he becomes the prime suspect.

The gig reunites Perrineau with his former Oz costar (and Truth regular) Eamonn Walker.

Truth has struggled to find an audience on Wednesdays at 10 PM, although the Maura-Tierney-Rob Morrow drama did post a nice increase last week. Is that momentum I smell? Well is it?!

who-hoo! we need more LOST alums on TV!

    • Can

Asian carp are extremely dericusttve to native ecosystems. they’ve severely damaged the fishing industry and environment of the entire Mississippi basin and threaten to ruin the entire Great Lakes region. not to mention, they’re a dangerous nuisance.

  • Bart Smith

    …if it’s not canceled first.

  • Prunella Von Schleidlhaagen

I don’t care about LOST alums, but OZ alums? Oh yes.

  • Migulia

    Long live OZ

  • Dave

Besides Lost, he was also really great in The Unusuals.

    • jelly

The Unusuals. That was another great show that got canceled too soon. Hopefully ABC will give this one a chance.

  • Tamara

Love this show! Very excited to see Perrineau bring his skills to a great show. Keep it going!

  • martina

Great. Amazing way to ruin an amazing show, you guys! I’m excited as hell to see Parminder, though.

  • Roxy

Yay! Harold and Eammon! I will watch just for them. Thanks for the scoop!!

  • Ruthie

Yes, I was very sad to see The Unusuals depart. How does this show fair? Any word on cancellation?

    • martina

Ausiello said two weeks ago that it was one episode away from getting axed. But as far as I know, the show is gaining viewers very, very slowly. Hopefully it won’t get cancelled, ’cause it is a great show.

  • Karen

Glad to see Perrineau, LOVE him! Keep making new shows/movies Harold we love you!

  • Kyle

…What Bart Smith said. Unfortunately, this show will be axed before Perrineau’s episode can reach the air.

congrats michael! you are the 1,000,000th person to post a Lost article with a title of “LOST ___ finds ___”. seriously, it stopped being clever after the first season. and yes, i’m in a bad mood, apparently.

i think the real problem is that they want to drop bezler and florek but how do you get rid of 2 characters going on 20 yrs? not to sure about floreks age but bezler is definately past mandoratory retirement age(68).but if you were bezler and ice-t wouldnt you be mad that the 2 new additions are billed ahead of you in the opening credits? been watching since season1 and ill stick with it until the end

  • Bella

It’s a surprisingly good show. The way it was reviewed by the critics pre-season made me think it would be kind of dull, but it’s actually interesting and engaging and Maura Tierney and Rob Morrow are great in it. I hope it builds viewers.

  • JMaG

Sadly this show will likely not be on by the time he guest stars…Another Fail for ABC.

    • sils71

And then Perrineau will surely throw a hissy fit and accuse ABC of being racist.

  • nicole

This is an awesome show. Hopefully ABC sticks with it and new viewers tune in. It’s worth it!
