Exclusive: 'Royal Pains' poaches 'Brothers & Sisters' stud Gilles Marini

brothers-sisters-gilesImage Credit: Mitch Haddad/ABCGilles Marini is taking a little break from shilling skivvies on Brothers & Sisters to boogie down on Royal Pains.

The ex-Dancing With the Stars runner-up has been tapped to guest-star in the second-season finale of the USA Network smash. He’ll play Niko, a dance instructor tasked with teaching Divya and Raj the fine art of the tango in the days leading up to their wedding.‬

The second half of Pains‘ sophomore season kicks off Jan. 20.

Rescue Me‘s Will Chase will also appear in the season 2 finale as the head of an MS foundation who makes Jill an intriguing offer.‬

Please no wedding! Divya belongs with Evan.

    Yay for Gilles.

  • David

He is hot to look at but I can never understand a word he says on brothers & sisters! I have to rewind several times and still I’m at a lost sometimes lol

Get a hearing aid! He’s perfectly easy to understand.

      • Rick

He didnt say he couldnt hear him. He said he couldnt understand him so how would a “hearing aid” help?

I did some calculations to giufre it out and it is really highly dependent on how fast you row (and your weight and a bunch of other factors), but if you assume that you can do 500 m in 120 seconds (~200 watts) and you are a typical size for a male, then about 15 16 45# SHDPs at high intensity are about equivalent to 9 calories (roughly equivalent to 155 m of rowing). But it\’s a really approximate measurement Cheers,Shawn

So it still will be summer 2009 at the end of the season? Crazy!

    One word: AWESOME!!!

Suggesttion regarding the mimswing timings:Having intervals start on certain times does not make allowance for different standards/speeds of mimswing. For example this week 400m off 7 mins or less. It is unlikely that I will finish the 400m in under the 7 mins. Others may do it in 4 mins leaving a rest time of 3 mins or someone else 6:30 leaving 30 secs rest. Obviously the training effect will be different for each of those examples and in the first case how long does one increase the time by may be 15 secs if the workout is to increase stamina or maybe one minute if they want to increase speed? In the past the rest interval has been prescribed as a percentage of the time taken to do the interval or something similar. This I believe may solve the issues highlighed above. Please can I have some thoughts/advice on the above? Thanks.

No, no, no. Divya belongs with Patrick Heusenberg’s character. Sexy and smart. No couple with Evan, that will ruin their relationship. Plus I like Evan with blond sensation, she adds spark. Gilles Marini? Yum.

  • Leigh

Love Divya with Evan. That’s the best relationship on the show.

  • Paige

I thought this will be the 3rd season….

  • Ema

wow. he is such a bad actor. it’s painful, really

  • Nellie

Let’s face it-the guy can’t act to save his life. He ruins B&S for me this season, every time I see him appear, I get annoyed.

  • S

Oh please he isn’t even on BnS that much to really show his acting skills lmao I really love him on there plus he’s one fine lookin man yummmm

  • Laydejo

I think secretly Divya has the hots for Evan and vice versa. They’re just dancing around the attraction possibly because of mixing business with pleasure. A lot like Olivia and Elliott on SVU.

  • Ed

He’s a horrible actor. On the last episode of B&S there were at least three scenes in which I had no clue what the hell he said.
