Image Credit: Tommaso Boddi/PR Photos; Michael Lavine/FoxAfter taking a breather from Hollywood to tackle some personal problems, Chris Klein is dipping his toe back in the biz with a role on Fox’s The Good Guys.
Sources confirm to me exclusively that the American Pie actor — who did a 30-day stint in rehab over the summer following a second DUI arrest in June — has been cast as Jack’s (Colin Hanks) old partner, George, in an episode shooting next week.
While not the brightest bulb, George has been using his charm and connections to climb the ranks of the Dallas Police Department. Jack, meanwhile, is stuck in property crimes. Ouch.
Good Guys airs Fridays at 9 p.m.

I wouldn’t call a guest role on THE GOOD GUYS exactly a comeback…
Well, of course that’s your opinion. I think The Good Guys is a hilarious show, and so I think this is a really good move for Klein. After seeing Dan’s former partner (the great Gary Cole), I can’t wait to see the guy Jack used to work wtih.
I wasn’t talking about the show’s quality. It’s just The Good Guys is a huge flop. I like the guy, I just hope from here he does stints in bigger shows.
I agree. I love the show.
Exactly! This man is the biggest loser on the planet. Go watch his role in ‘Street Fighter’, you will laugh at him throughout the whole movie.
There’s nothing hotter in movies, TV and books right now than vampires.
did sing a mama mia song for his audition?
I think you are making a great observation. I need to think about this some more.
Chris Klein is a skeeze.
The good guys are running sores, running from themselves and society…yet their scab will heal us all.
after seeing his audition for Momma Mia, he should really go on Glee.
When the 2009 season ended, Jets cornerback Darrelle Revis was the best defensive player in the NFL. He even had an island named after him where receivers disappeared in a sea of non-productivity.
Since that time, however, Revis’ life has been tumultuous.
Jersey Jeff should get an award for these…
That is when you know your career is over..Terrible show.
shut up moron!your too afraid to follow your own taste.you just folow what the crowd follows.there are 3 types of people leaders ,followers, and loners.guess which one you are.
I don’t care about Chris Klein, I’m just excited to see The Good Guys mentioned here! This show doesn’t get enough love
This will be an especially busy weekend for hunters throughout New York, with season openings for both waterfowl and turkeys.
On Saturday, the fall turkey-hunting season will be open for Western, Central, and Southeastern Wildlife Management Units (WMUs), and will be closed for northern WMUs.
Saturday also marks the opening for ducks, coots, mergansers, and Canada geese in many areas of the state.
The Good Guys is a hilarious show and those who don’t think so are just dead inside. Watch Dan Stark run and tell me you didn’t laugh. Chris Klein is lucky for the opportunity. Good on him.
The Good Guys is the ONLY network show I watch (well… House, but that’s over 5 years old).
Every other show I watch is on cable. NBC, ABC and CBS suckety-suck-suck-suck.
He’s the poor man’s Cory Monteith now. He should try to get a guest spot on Glee.
I find this show completely unwatchable because of Jenny Wade’s horrific train wreck of a “Texas” accent. I want her character to DIAF already.
I freakin’ LOVE this show! I didn’t want to, but Bradley Whitford is completely irresistible as Dan Stark. When I first saw it, I was all “WTF is this? A cop show? A comedy?” Then I got it. Now I love it. I hope this guy is as good an ex-partner as Gary Cole was last week!
“I’m a hugger.”
And his episodes probably won’t air
I can’t stand Bradley Whitfield trying to act so tough. I hate his 80′s poofy hair comb-back. He is trying too hard to be ‘cool’
Chris Klein looks like he’s made of plastic, and it’s starting to melt.
You obviously don’t get this show at all. Whitford’s character is not supposed to be “cool” in any way – the fun is in watching the supreme delusions that his character has of his own awesomeness, based on what he thought cool was 20 years ago. Love this show!
You TOTALLY missed the point.
The Good Guys is one of the funniest shows on TV. I just wish it wasn’t on FOX’s Friday Night Death Slot. EW, get Doc Jensen to write a story about it since he mentioned it was his favorite show from the summer. The Good Guys is the perfect antidote to all the CSI-esque shows out there.
