Well, now I can tell you not only who they are but also who’s likely to play them (hint: you know and like all three).
• Rex Matheson is a sharp-as-nails, funny-as-hell, tough-as-rawhide CIA agent who cares less about making a good impression than he does making a lasting one. Sounds juicy, right? So no wonder my sources tell me that both Dollhouse alum Enver Gjokaj and One Tree Hill grad Chad Michael Murray are eyeing the role.
• Esther Katusi is a CIA Watch Analyst — in other words, a grunt — who, against all odds, has both an unshakable faith in human nature and a monster crush on Rex. Greek goddess Amber Stevens is said to be the frontrunner for this part.

LD, what makes you think Torchwood will fail? It’s is a very successful show written by one of THE greatest writers ever. It’s past 3 seasons were immensely successful! And what’s wrong with the title? It’s not ridiculous, it makes perfect sense. Don’t bash something when you have absolutely no idea what you’re talking about because it just makes you look like and ass.
You’re just upset because he’s Hot! He’s a great actor and OTH is in it’s 8th season. It will be the last one, and it isn’t as good because Lucas & Peyton are gone.

If you have Netflix, they pretty much show all the Starz show on Instant. That’s how I watched Party Down and Spartacus.
Alas, I don’t have netflix. But I think Party Down was on hulu. Maybe this will be, too?
On Dollhouse Enver proved what a brilliant actor he is. He was a complete chameleon, able to throw himself into any role and make it totally believable. I really hope he gets this part.

My only concern as a fan of the show from day one is that these two new additions sound to me like Owen and Tosh in different jobs. I understand they have to re-boot the show a little because they want to bring more then just the original Torchwood audience to the table but it should also be exciting and new for established fans of the show.

Yeah, I really hope it’s not Tosh and Owen redux with American accents. I’m also hoping that, even if they go with young people, this doesn’t become some CW version of Torchwood. Torchwood is at its best when it goes dark, grown-up and smart.
I promise you that Enver can handle “dark, grown-up and smart.” He was PHENOMENAL in dollhouse. He played everything from a ditzy college girl to a serial killer… and that was just in one episode.
I agree. I loved Owen and Tosh (Especially Tosh) and I love both Enver and Amber and think they both could bring something great to the show, but I would hate for Enver and Amber to be a rehash on a story that was already well played out the first time around.

I can understand your skepticism about CMM (obviously) and maybe even Amber Stevens, but Enver Gjokaj is one of the best actors of his generation. Any show would be lucky to have him.
