Breaking: Syfy cancels 'Caprica'

    I knew the show was going down, but just got the chance to watch the last 5 eps. Sad thing when a program this imaginative and interesting is handled so poorly. They didn’t promote it very well, showed 9 eps and then promptly announced there would be more an entire year later! It’s no wonder people lost interest, or just forgot. Then it came on earlier than they said, and again didn’t promote it. SyFy is a frakkin’ joke. SG-1 did all the work to bring this network to the forefront, and they’re doing all they can to dash the interest many of us have in an all-scifi channel. I swore off ABC when they cancelled Flash Forward, and I’m going to do the same with this network. I have better things to do with my time than invest all those hours to get no satisfaction or fruition!

    Surely there must be a network out there that is happy to have those 900000 viewers – perhaps online distribution? All that is needed is a proactive company that can snap up all the decent series that get cancelled before their time and make them available for, say, $1 per viewing or $2 per download. I, for one, would be happy to pay a small fee and get to watch what I want when I want.

    I don’t know, America creates intelligent series like Caprica and Terminator The Sarah Connor Chronicles but there aren’t enough intelligent people too make such series profitable.
