'Dancing with the Stars' eliminated contestant talks about next gig: Another reality show!

Tags: News, Television

Kurt Warner and Anna Trebunskaya may have earned the lowest scores on Monday but they got sweet relief during Tuesday’s telecast when Tom Bergeron and Brooke Burke told them they were safe for another week. So who went home, instead? Find out after the jump!

dwts-audrina-patridgeGuys (and green-with-envy gals) won’t have Audrina Patridge’s abs to gawk at anymore. Though she and Tony Dovolani earned 32 out of a possible 40 points on Monday – the second highest-scoring performance of the night behind Brandy and Maksim Chmerkovskiy – Patridge became the sixth dancer to get the boot from Dancing with the Stars. Talking with reporters afterwards, Dovolani still appeared worked up by the judges’ harsh comments from the night before (including Len Goodman’s complaint that his partner didn’t show the necessary amount of character for a Latin dance).

“It’s hard when you put that much work into it,” Dovolani said. ”I know the judges sway an audience one way or another, and in this particular case, I wanted them to recognize how hard Audrina had been working to get to this point. Instead, they scolded us not once but a couple weeks in a row. They focused on her character and I think she has the greatest character in the world.”

“Last night’s comments were harsh but there’s nothing I can really say. It was to be,” Patridge added. ”I wanted more time! It still feels like unfinished business.”

At least she has another reality show to keep her busy. VH-1 is expected to announce Wednesday that it has picked up a new show from uber-producer Mark Burnett that’ll feature the former star of The Hills as she navigates Tinseltown. Though Patridge wouldn’t divulge the title of the show that’s expected to earn a multi-episode order, she did tease some of the key players. ”It’s about my family, me and everything you’ve always wondered about,” Patridge explains. “Tony will be on it. We’re good friends. He’ll make some trips to New York and visit.”

Dovolani had some news of his own to share with reporters: He and Chmerkovskiy will open a dance studio in Hollywood! Patridge hopes to be one of his first students - no doubt so she can maintain her speedy metabolism that allowed her eat pizza and “lots of desserts” while doing Stars. ”Already all my girlfriends have said, `God forbid you get voted off because we so want to learn to dance with you.’ So now I’m going to learn to dance with Tony and Maks,” Patridge said.

As for who she plans to support in the finale, Patridge admitted “it’s going to be hard. Maybe I’ll make a phone call to everyone.  Next week is the 200th episode party so I’ll be back!”

Im a gay man and I MIGHT be on DWTS next year. I want to have a gay male partner to be the first same sex couple. I want to do this because of the gay suicides that has been on the news

    • elocin

      seacrest?

    • DiMi

Ryan, you raise an interesting point about same-sex dancing couples, but you are clearly lying about being a potential contestant on the show, so you are undermining your argument. No star is posting is posting on this web site. Just ask the question about same-sex couples and don’t compromise the issue by lying about yourself.

  • Zach

For a reality starlet you wouldn’t expect to have a large fanbase (despite her Twitter following), Audrina was nothing but an American princess and a class act. I’m sorry to see her leave even though I shocked myself by voting for Kurt – but I didn’t expect one of the other women to go! If Bristol keeps up the good work, Rick needs to leave next.

    • john

      Bristol needs to go.

  • Ryan

no, im not seacrest. what do u think of a same sex couple?

    • Soldier

      Love it.

    • Jose Cordero

Which one of you is going to wear the sexy clothes?

    • Jose Cordero

Which one of you is going to wear the sexy clothes? Nah, I would not watch, sorry, but good looking bodies is my thing!!

    • Steve

      Wouldn’t watch.

  • Michelle

Total upset. Audrina was one of the top 3 dancers (besides having the best bod on the show). It’s too bad the voters couldn’t recognize and support that. In spite of everything Audrina handled elimination with tremendous class.

    • DiMi

I think Brandy has the best body, but Audrina was one of the best dancers.

    • Anon.

Audrina does have beautiful legs — fake breasts, though.

  • snapples

This show looks rigged to me. With the exception of last night’s performance, the judges have inflated Bristol’s scores every single week. They repeatedly painted Bristol as the under dog, the fish out of water. Audrina had never danced either, but they held her to a much higher standard. They gave Bristol all the breaks, while holding Audrina to a much higher standard

For two weeks in a row, they have gone after Audrina for her lack of “character development” There is no way in the world that Bristol is a better dancer than any one left on the the show.

If Bristol wins DWTS, the show has completely sold out to corporate, right wing America. Audrina was a total class act to the very end…..a superb dancer as well.

    • DiMi

You nailed it; the judges and the program are sucking up to the teapartiers by over-scoring and over-praising Bristol, and they’ve sacrificed the integrity of the show to do it

      • Re: Liz Lemon

I can’t imagine any of the judges giving a flying crap about tea-partiers. They’re being nice to her because she’s a non-performer and a teenager and clearly way out of her league. It’s not fair, but it has nothing to do with her mother’s political affiliations.

    • Preston

I think Audrina had a bad week as well as Jennifer. They just weren’t as consistent this week as on previous Mondays.

    • Preston

I believe that Bristol had a better dance performance than Jennifer or Audrina, but nowhere near Brandy’s. I believe that the shift has gone towards Brandy and Bristol and not towards Jennifer. Both Bristol and Brandy just had a better night on Dancing than the other female celebrities who are left in the competition.

      • john

Bristol is getting sympathy and over-scoring because of her mother with out a doubt.

      • jodipo

whatever you smoked before you wrote that is probably illegal.

    • john

Totally agree with your assessment of the competition.

    • Natalie

Bristol is horrible. Her technical skills are not very good, although this week was a little better. But her performance skills are what makes her the worst contestant left on the show. She looks like she is having a root canal done every week when she dances. Her face is mostly blank, her body is stiff and she looks miserable. Mark totally takes control of her and just shoves her around the dance floor, doing the vast amount of the work. I don’t see any effort from her. Let’s just put her out of her misery!

      • Anonymous

I agree! I’m always so amazed that she keeps getting pretty decent scores when they hand out fours and sixes to much better dancers. I just don’t get it. Sure, they feel bad for her, but she entered a reality dance competition. She had to know what she was getting herself into. I’ve felt more and more disappointed with DWTS over the last few seasons, but this one is killer! I may have to stop watching until Bristol gets eliminated. She seems like a nice girl, but she is definitely not a dancer.

      • Cali

Bristol is HORRIBLE and everything else Natalie said.. I’m not a fan of Audrina in any way but she rocked this show. It’s a show about dancing not character development..what bull!

    • Carla

If Bristol wins, I will never watch this show again.

  • audrina fan

I will no longer watch Dancing With The Stars. Audrina was one of the top dancers on the show, and how she was let go was so WRONG!!!!!!!! I won’t be supporting that show anymore.

    • Michelle

sad too, but Sabrina was a front runner and eliminated early…

  • Ryan

Soldier, r u gay? u really want me to be the first same sex couple on dancing with the stars?

    • Jesse

      What’s your problem?

  • David

All I know is that my mom, sister and I are all in different parts of the country and we said it’s off our shows to record for the rest of the season. Actually, my mom refused to even start recording it until Bristol was off, lost her right at the start of the season. Maybe next year they will come up with a way to judge that is more realistic and fair… until then, we’re gone. What a shame that even what is supposed to be a fun entertaining show is swayed and ruined by the current political climate in this country.

    • noelbelle

Dude, the judges are always overly-sympathetic. Remember the high scores they kept giving to Donny Osmond way back when?

      • DiMi

Donny Osmond had poor technical skills, but he was a GREAT performer, not unike Kyle. Bristol is bad on every level.

      • Carla

Donny furthermore put the work in and put in good performances every week, stumbles and all. It was great to see Donny beat Mya, the RINGER for that season. This year, who did Jennifer tick off? She was clearly the ringer, and now 3 bad scores in a row???

    • Al

David, two of the judges fly in from England for the show and leave right after. I doubt they are swayed by the political mood. They have scored Bristol low most weeks. It is the voting pubic keeping her there.

  • Preston

Audrina had a good run the past six weeks. There were one or two bad performances, but she was solid and I could see the improvement in her dancing. She did need to work on the character aspect of the dance more, but she surprised me.

  • Dolores

Zach?or whatever your name is the fine foxy Rick is stayin’

  • Dessie

I cant belive they voted Audrina off if any one deserves to go its Bristol sucks…….

  • Samantha

Who is voting for Bristol? QUIT IT NOW!

    • Jethro

      Manuela keeps voting for Bristol

  • Samantha

Somebody here said Bristol danced better than Audrina and Jennifer? um what show are you watching?

  • reng

I’ve read lots of comments, and I think I may be first to say that I thought the worst performance was by Kurt — he was like cardboard. Bristol improved, but she was, like, second worst. Rick and Kyle tied next. Kyle brings such joy to the show. I don’t really know much about dancing, so I didn’t really see Jennifer’s mistake. Because of that, I had put Audrina third, from the top, then Jennifer, then Brandy. Now, it’s hard to imagine a final without it being Brandy vs. Jennifer. But I’m beginning to wonder if Jennifer will make it another week. She must not be getting many votes, since she’s been in danger for two weeks now.

    • sm

Just because she is “in danger” doesn’t mean she is in the bottom vote wise.

  • GS

All I can say is I wish I lived in Hollywood! How awesome would it be to have Tony and Maks(!) as instructors? They are going to have a waiting list several miles long.
