First look: Luke weds Tracy on 'General Hospital'

General-Hospital-wedding_510.jpg Image Credit: ABC EW has obtained this exclusive first look of the Las Vegas nuptials of Luke Spencer (Anthony Geary) and Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot). David Leisure returns as Reverend Grace, who married Brenda Barrett (Vanessa Marcil) and Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) a few years back.

As evidenced by the hijinks in the photo, things don’t turn out exactly as planned in Sin City. The high-maintenance duo heads to Las Vegas on Nov. 9, and the fun continues throughout the week on the ABC sudser.

Woah, my first thought looking at this was, “This wasn’t on the Halloween episode Friday?” from their get-ups… Love Luke and Tracy. But can Laura come back from Paris, please?

    • Flip

Luke and Laura belong together. This is sickening.

      • Jeff

Yeah, but not as much as angle and singleloverw2 belong together…I hope those crazy kids can meet and fall in love ;)

  • Kelly

Sad to see how bad this show has gotten. Thank god I gave up five years ago.

    • Brenda Barrett

Me, too! It makes me sad when I think about how awesome this show used to be.

      • Tiarra

It’s just sad how far gone this show is. LuNacy getting married on Laura’s birthday is a major slap to the face and just as confusing as Guza being the headwriter.

    • Trey

If you haven’t watched in five years, how do you know it is stil bad?

      • me

They actually watched it yesterday; it just seems like 5 years ago because the show is so brend…I’m mean boring.

      • Brenda Barrett

I watch OLTL, and I see enough that’s horrible just in the teasers for GH that run during OLTL. For example, on GH, the heroes used to be the ones who caught the mobsters, e.g. Anna Devane. Now, Sonny shoots a cop in cold blood and is not only wandering around free, but is the show’s hero. It’s abhorrent! On OLTL, the criminals get punished!

      • bootsycolumbia

AND he’s sleeping with the only female character I had respect for–Claire, the DA. I guarantee you he’s going to get her preggers and we’ll have another of Sonny’s spawn to deal with. Ugh.

  • Suze

Thank God I gave it up when Luke raped Laura and then she married him. I just couldn’t forgive that.

    • Jeff

That was decades ago, and you are posting now to tell us how you feel? I guess trolls do exist…

      • Suze

Huh? I’m a troll because I have an opinion? Wow.

    • PK

I didn’t even know that GH was still on. I also stopped watching right after the Luke & Laura story turned “crazy”. If my memory is correct – once it got into the “crystal or something like that” I gave it up. My youngest daughter is named after “Laura” as she was born during those Luke and Laura days. Way too long ago ~25 years. Night time soaps (Desperate Housewives) are so much funnier!

      • Susan

Named my daughter Laura too. Many of my friends did so also….

  • lizzbert

When I think about the beautiful love story of Luke and Laura, and how crappy this is, it makes me sad. Not that Luke shouldn’t move on with Laura gone–and not that I don’t enjoy the character of Tracy. But their relationship is written so badly and disrespectfully, I can’t even enjoy it. Tracy is always the patsy, and Luke is the liar who always claims he “never wanted a family.” Ugh.

  • Gigi

This looks so unfunny to me. GH rarely gets comedy right.

And the fact that they get married on Laura’s birthday? Tells me that Bob Guza is one twisted little monkey.

    • Kaye

Comedy? Seriously? GH is nothing BUT comedy anymore. How can anyone take this show as anything but a lot of noise between the commercials.

  • cathy

How sad! This is what GH thinks viewers want to see. Where have all the good GH writers gone? Sorry not interested in this wedding or the characters either now.

    • gigi

Bob Guza has ruined GH! The best writing under his reign was during the writer’s strike and that’s because he had no involvement during that time. I’m an avid watcher of GH…in hopes that it will get better, but it’s become the Brenda and Dante show…which is kinda making me miss the Sonny and Jason show. November sweeps better impress me or I’m giving up my GH season pass on my DVR!!

  • sus

HOw sad… what a waste of the amazing acting talent of Tony Geary and Jane Elliot, and what disrespect to some of the best fictional characters ever created. They need to end this hampster wheel that has been the story of LUke and Tracy for the last few years. Both Mr. Geary and Ms. Elliot are fantastic actors who at the beginning could make this pathetic story/pairing humorous.. but it has been way too much, and it is just NOT funny anymore. Get GEnie Francis back and do right by the best daytime acting team (Tony Geary and Genie Francis) that was ever created. Pay some respect to GH’s great, rich, wonderful history, and the long term fans!!

  • Chrissy

Wow, so this is what GH has come to??? For God’s sake, youtube the Luke and Laura days and get a clue! This show is dive bombing!!!

  • formerfan

GH is just a pathetic shadow of itself and i am tired of the same old tired stuff over and over again.

  • sany

It’s so sad that this is what JE has been reduced to.I dont care about TG because he spits on the memory of LL every chance he gets but for JE to have to deal with this same nonsense now for the past 5 years is just crazy and so unfunny.WHAT has happened to GH?

  • tonia

This is an embarrassment to viewers and most of all to Tony Geary and Jane Elliott. Two great actors reduced to this unfunny trash. No wonder ratings fall when they are on. Guza has made them a cartoon..NOT FUNNY..

  • Jason S.

Doesn’t anyone realize that David Leisure is also the MAyor on GH. I guess they liked him so much when he guested they gave him a recurring part and now he is returning to play his original character.

Personally I wanted Luke to be Maxie’s love interest.

    • BW

Actually, John Bolger plays Mayor Floyd..

      • Jason S.

YOu know hwt you’re right. He plays the mayor on Days of Our Lives. I got the shows mixed up

  • Janizzle

What is wrong with you people….Luke and Tracy are a fantastic, hilarious couple! I’m so excited for this Vegas wedding. LnL is in the past…move on!

    • jules

Agreed! I am actually kind of surprised abuot all of the hate. Luke and Laura were great, yes, but she’s not on the show anymore, and until she is, I’ll take some comic relief from Tracy and Luke. It can’t be serious and love in the afternoon all of the time.

      • al

How low do you want to dip? Luke and Laura forever. LuNacy is a big fat joke and any halfway fan knows that.

  • huh?

I realize I haven’t watched GH in a little while now, but weren’t Luke and Tracy already married?

    • Janizzle

It turned out that the wedding was a SHAM all along, so now Luke is trying to marry Tracy for real.

      • anonymousme

No, that was a f’ng Retcon, which is typical of Guza and his trifecta of evil. I don’t want Genie Francis anywhere NEAR this craptastic show as long as Guza, Phelps and Frons are in charge. They’ve already assassinated Brenda and I never thought that would happen.

  • Meme

LOL i can’t wait to see this
