I thought he left her for a stripper? Anyway Shirley’s great. Our Miss Piggy -I mean Glenda- can do better than Theo.

  • Dave

I’m a little ‘meh’ on this casting, but if we’ll see more of Shirley in the episode, then I’m happy.

it is unreal to me that this is where we are in society. This is an embarressment. I am a white female that grew up loving The Cosby Show, and Seinfeld. I absolutly Love them both. What is wrong with society?????????

  • Mr Jones

This comment is direct to Larry David.

I am extremely offended by your comments. I’m a black man and very proud to be one. I am a very successful black man and have been for a VERY long time. I have a very successful career as a Soldier in the US Army and I’ve served this country for 21yrs and counting. Part of my service is protect ignorant fools, such as yourself, to make hurtful and quite frankly, inaccurate statements such as the ones you’ve made here. On top of my successful military career, I’m also starting to have a successful acting career as well. I’ve just completed a stage production called, “Where Is UR Faith?” At the risk of blowing my own horn, it was very well-received. I don’t appreciate you coming here and stereotyping black men. Take a look around and be honest with yourself. There are many white men that are not successful as. If I were you, I wouldn’t talk too much trash. You just may end up on the wrong side if you aren’t careful. You have a good day Larry David.

    • Chiana

We really need a “report” button to eliminate trolls like him. He doesn’t deserve your extremely articulate explanation, although I appreciate it.

    • Ash

      Mr. Jones,

Larry David is an idiot and only wants to incite anger from people. He does this on EVERY topic. I know there are many good, successful black men like yourself out there. Ignore that fool.

And thank you for your service:)

    • stevenjaba

Mr Jones – there is really no point in responding to people like Larry David on message boards. They say stupid stuff just to get a reaction. They don’t even necessarily believe what they say – they just want to lob bombs and see what happens. If you ignore them, they eventually go away.

    • Mole

You guys realize that tina and Mr. Jones ARE Larry David, right? A string of four pointlessly incited posts followed immediately by a completely random rant against a frequent EW troll who didn’t actually post anything on this particular article? Larry found another way to get our attention, and it worked.

      • Sophie

Yeah, because I’m reading the comments and I do not see anything from Mr. Larry David unless EW removed the comment.

  • Hannah Lee

    Yay!

I think he’ll be great on the show. He and Yvette Nicole Brown will probably have great chemistry…either as exes who hate each other, or as exes with unresolved business.

I think he’ll be a great fit on an already well-cast show.

Community has a great ensemble cast. To quote Dan Harmon’s Twitter quoting the AV club quoting a commenter:

“The cast of “Community” is Newsradian in their ensemblity.”

Malcolm-Jamal Warner seems like he’ll fit right in.

  • Katja

Well, consider my interest piqued. Theo Huxtable was SO yummy. (I swear that’s not creepy, he was always older than I was back when the show was on.) M-JW has certainly aged a bit since then, but he’s still looking mighty good!

    • EssBee

I agree. I always had the biggest crush on him when he was on the Cosby Show and he has aged quite well in my opinion. I can’t wait to see him on the show!
